    WhisperBroker

    WhisperBroker keeps track of your last received whispers. It displays the time and name of the last person who whispered you. The tooltip offers more. You can see the last two whispers of every Person you received since your login. The whispers are shortened, but you hopefully never miss a whisper again.

    WhisperBroker needs any kind of display addon like Titan Panel, Chocolate Bar, etc.

    changed 0.8 to 0.8.1
    - added an option in the configuration to use local time instead of realm time.
    - added a button to the configuration to clear the whisper list.
    - corrected some spelling

    changed 0.7.3 to 0.8
    - added a clickable tooltip. Clicking onto the name of a whisperer you can directly write a response to the whisperer.
    - added configuration to deactivate the clickable tooltip.

    changed 0.7.2 to 0.7.3
    - fixed a bug with an incorrect function call in line 132.

    changed 0.7.1 to 0.7.2
    - if WhisperBroker can't resolve the user info of a whisperer there should be no errors. But the class color will not be displayed without the userinfo.

    changed 0.7 to 0.7.1
    - fixed a bug (unnecessary lib embedded)

    changed 0.6 to 0.7
    - new tooltip with LibQTip.
    - class colored character names.
    - custom displayed whisper colors.
    - custom displayed whisper length.
    - a whisper counter per character.
    - configuration menu

    changed 0.5 to 0.6 Fixed: Icon and more

    If you would add the "Secretary" functionality of HeyFu, this would be my favorite. HeyFu works, but I don't like having to have Fubar2Broker and all, it would be so much better if there was just an LDB port out there.

    I really liked this addon.

    However, there's something that really made me want to delete the thing the moment i logged in. THE ICON! nothing much I can say about it, the damn thing's just ugly.

    If you must have the icon, I'd say to at least make the background transparent.

    Other than that, nice work.

    If I could initiate a whisper with someone by clicking on their message in the popup that would be cool.

    Big thanks for this addon !!!

    Finally an addon that can replace my good old discontinued friend Whisper Fu.

    Request: Is it possible to
    - make an option to manually clear the list ?
    - show the complete whispers on the tooltip ?
    - save the whispers so when you relog you can still see them ?

    Installed the add-on. Confirmed the add-on is turned on. But I don't see any trace of this add-on.

    There are no settings in the WoW built-in interface. No mini map icon. There are no / command for this add-on.

    ???

    WhisperBroker is a broker plugin, so it is not standalone. You need some kind of display addon like chocolatebar or titan panel.

    And yes, it has no options or minimap icon. It is a really simple addon, just to display your last received whispers. Maybe later there will be some options, but at the moment it is not configurable.

    I have Titan Panel installed. Default has WhisperBroker on. No sign of WhisperBroker working. No icons and no display of whispers.

    I normaly don't use Titan Panel, so I installed it for testing.

    I activated only Titan Panel and WhisperBroker as addons. When I logged in there was no sign of WhisperBroker on the Panel.
    With a rightclick onto Titan Panel I had to select WhisperBroker (can be found under Plugins -> General) and then it was displayed on the Panel.

    Have the new version .7, but no config menu...not in Interface>Addons, not with any sort of click combo on the LDB, not with a slash command....intentional?

    I just found a bug in WhisperBroker as I tried it with different display addons. A lib I forgot to remove from the code caused an error. With Titan Panel and there was no problem, because Titan Panel provided the missing lib.
    But without the lib WhisperBroker don't even starts. Maybe that is the reason why you can't see any configuration menu. I just released a bugfixed version 0.7.1.

    The configuration menu can be found under Interface>Addons.

    I must have had the lib, cause i had the plugin, it just had the old functionality. However, the configuration is still not showing up for me on my main. I'll do some troubleshooting in a little bit.

    EDIT: Ok, what worked for me was this: install the latest version of WhisperBroker, disable Ace2 and Ace3 libs, load WoW, BAM! It works. Now I can re-enable Ace2/3 and they all play nicely. Hope this helps you out.

    EDIT2: Class colors are buggy on my main, and i can't figure out why. It works on other toons, but not my main, even when i disable all my addons and such. FML, don't worry about it, I'm sure its an end-user problem.

    Unhappy Seems to be broken as of the latest version
    the menu displays in Titan Panel, but clicking on it does nothing. There is now no way to whisper someone who whispered me in the past.

    I also get this error:

    Error: attempt to index field 'userinfo' (a nil value)

    Hi, thanks for following-up. I just migrated from Titan Panel to Fubar. With Broker2Fubar, I got WhisperBroker to work as expected. Exactly what I needed.

    Now, one thing I noticed is that Broker mods still show pop-up or drop-down window even during battle. Not just with WhisperBroker but with also other Broker modules. I do have Fubar's disable-window-during-battle setting turned on. Anyway around this?
