Re: Error question

That's a typo in the version I uploaded earlier today. I've got it corrected and have uploaded 4.2.4 with that fix, it should appear here shortly once it gets approved. Sorry about that - I have no idea why I'm not getting the error messages from that, I should be.

Anyways after loading I set up a couple of outfits and manually changed between them. When I do I ge the following errors. (this is retyped by me as i can't get it to pop up in an error frame)

[ERROR] (Outfitter) Error dispatching event UNWEAR_OUTFIT
[ERROR] (Outfitter) Interface\AddOns\Outfitter\Outfitter.lua:2746: attempt to call method 'SchedulerUniqueTask' (a nil value)

It appears when changing between any outfits. But does moke the change with all the appropraite gear.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cool, glad you like it! After I wrote that for you I started using it myself and like it too -- before I was using a hotkey to equip/unequip the outfit, but it's really nice to just have it on the same button as my casting. Combined with the "Enable auto-loot" option in the fishing outfit it makes fishing about as easy as it can get

Mundocani,

Let me just say... "YOU ARE AWESOME!!!"

That macro worked perfectly for me. I love it. Thanks!

I do use the keyboard to cast (shift-f) as you said but I dropped the macro in the same tool bar slot that I had Fishing on and it works fine. I use Bartender so I guess that is why it works.

The only changes I made to it were as you can see below:

#showtooltip [mod:alt] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor; Fishing
/outfitter [nomod] wear Fishing
/cast [nomod,equipped:fishing poles] Fishing
/use [mod:alt] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor
/use [mod:alt]16
/outfitter [mod:shift] unwear Fishing

Just the show tool tip and the lure type. I like the tool tip cause when I press alt I can see right on my tool bar how many lures I have left.

I will be passing this macro around to all my friends and family that use Outfitter. Thanks again!

Re: Fishing Macro

You could do something like this

/outfitter [nomod] wear Fishing
/cast [nomod,equipped:fishing poles] Fishing
/use [mod:alt] Sharpened Fish Hook
/use [mod:alt]16
/outfitter [mod:shift] unwear Fishing

Without any modifiers down the first click will equip your outfit. After the first click it will cast each time. Holding down alt will put your lure on. Holding down shift will unequip the outfit.

If you use the keyboard to cast with (as I do), the mod:shift part won't work because the default WoW bindings have the shift-number keys mapped to changing your cast bars. If you unmap them or use the mouse it'll work fine.

Has anyone written a Fishing Macro that once placed on your action bar would do the following:

1. Click macro, if fishing outfit not equiped, equip it.
2. If fishing outfit is equiped, cast your fishing line.
3. If you hold down a modifier a lure is added to your line.
4. And finally if you hold down a different modifier you unequip your fishing outfit.

I know you can use /outfitter wear/unwear/toggle in a macro but can you specify modifiers on this command? Such as [equiped, modifier:alt] etc?

I would appreciate any help or suggestions...

Thanks

For the time being I went back to 4.2.1 and everything was working great.
Saw your post and reinstalled 4.2.2 and the error was gone before I even did anything so I guess it was a bad install.
Thank you for your help - Great mod

Make sure you're holding the shift key down before you press the left button to drag. Older versions would allow you to press shift after the button, but that caused it to require you to hold the shift key down the whole time you were dragging. Now you have to have the shift key down before you click, but you don't have to hold it down the entire time you drag.
