cgCrafty  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.0.67
by: chuckg [More]

Features:
- Search *all* tradeskill / crafting windows
- Search by name, reagent, required tools or for which recipes you have materials
- Link reagents/materials for an recipe to chat
- Hooks into the existing UI to be as lightweight as possible, loading only when requested
- Plays nicely with Autocraft
- Offers 'fastenchant' functionality that hides the enchant overwrite confirmation dialogue

Description:

There are a lot of different mods out there that have similar functionality, but they all either add too many features or don't have the right one. If you're looking to add a simple search to your tradeskill/crafting windows, cgCrafty should fit that niche perfectly.

cgCrafty offers search functionality to your crafting/tradeskill windows in a lightweight, unobtrusive way. The mod will add a small window attached to the bottom of the currently open crafting/tradeskill window. As of version 2.0, you may also link the required reagents/materials required in order to construct/craft the selected item to chat. cgCrafty will not hook into or capture any events until you've actually opened either of the crafting or tradeskill windows. It is written for speed, efficiency and most of all, usability.

To turn off the mod or access fastenchant, check out the slash commands: /cgc or /cgcrafty

Re: ATSW compatible?

No, Jaim. It's not really possible the way both addons are written, since they both hook the Update function for the tradeskill frame and modify the way data is presented. So unless there's a meeting/sharing of minds between the two, don't hold your breath.

ATSW compatible?

This probably doesn't work with Advanced Trade Skill Window .64, am I right? http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2092

The odd thing is it's only with some enchants, and when it is blocked, I don't get a cgCrafty error; I get FuBar has been blocked. Fishing enchants don't seem to get blocked, while some others of the caster type do. Would you be so kind as to screenshot your error for me?

Nah, I prefer cgCrafty to Reverse Engineering. I'll live. Mind you, it isn't necessarily a bad feature to have regardless. But no need to add it on my account.

It probably never will be able to, because of the nature of how both addons work. They both modify the listed frame of craftables by forcefully taking over the Update event. It's really beyond the scope of this addon to add 'play-nice' code for reverse engineering, but what I could do is add an option to disable cgCrafty with certain tradeskills. That way, reverse engineering could work with, well, engineering and cgCrafty could handle the others.

Let me know if you want this.

Re: Re: Possible Regeants Broadcast problem

Thanks chuck, I wasnt sure what was going on but I had a strong feeling they cropped the text limit again which caused it.

I wanted to make you aware in case it went un-noticed. Love this addon as it is a HUGE help so im all about trying to help out any way I can.

Again, greatly appreciated =)

Re: Possible Regeants Broadcast problem

shadowwolf, you have WoW's awesome 255 character limit to thank for that. There's no real easy way to handle the materials that I can come up with, other than to limit how many can be shown per line down to 2. So use 2.0.25 until I can come up with something better, it shouldn't crop any of your text.

Possible Regeants Broadcast problem

I encountered an issue with this latest version of the addon and WoW 2.0 when using the link mats feature.

Posting in say, tell or guild all seems to produce the same issue and that is regeants are either completely left out of the posting or the quantity is left off.

For example:

When linking mats for the +15 AGI enchant, the total number of illusion dust was left off even though it linked the item.

When linking mats for Big Bag of Enchantment, Enchanted Leather's link and quantity was completely omitted.

Please let me know if you need any additional info on this as Id like to help any way I can. =)

Appears there is some issue with your strata changes. The text entry box is "blacked out" (can't add anything to it) and the three buttons can't be pressed.
Should be fixed in 2.0.22, sorry about that. As for the "L" you saw in the search type box, I suspect that was a remant from 1.x. I didn't personally try upgrading without first deleting the saved variable, habit of writing the mods yourself I suppose.

Upgraded from 2.0.14 to 2.0.21. It stopped working.

Been a long time fan of this mod; the best, most compact & most "compatible" tradeskill search utility out there.

Two small things with the new Ace2 version, though.

The "search by..." button, before you have selected Name, Reagent or Requires, has a "l" letter on it. Doesn't make sense (to me anyway). The L stands for what? Perhaps a smaller font "Search By"? Or "Select"? Or something else?

Also, the new 2.0.14 package has unneeded SVN directory files in it.

Thanks for your work
This weekend, the 14th or 15th of October expect something beta'ish. I'll probably put it up on an SVN somewhere before releasing it here on the site. Sorry for the delay to those waiting, I've got some awesome new features and optimizations fit into this go round.

I still need to add in "attribute" search functionality and I'll probably remove "requires" as it's next to useless, but getting a working Ace2 version was more important to me.
