TotemGuru

Version: 4.2.4
by: easysham [More]

TotemGuru is designed to allow you to see all the totems dropped by the shammy’s in a raid. The idea being to see immediately if any totems are missing (i.e. everyone has dropped the same totems meaning that buffs are missing) and also to make the totems more visible as it can be hard to see the totems with 25 people stood on them).

Features

Show Totems dropped by Raid/Party/All Shammy's.

Re-ordering of player list

Manual Refresh(clear all) of totems/chars

Tooltips identifying the Totems in the window

Cooldown timers on totems (added in V0.9b)

Warning icons for missing totems

Buff detection (still in development)

Auto Show hide for raids (i.e. hides when not in an instance)
Known Issues

Youtube videos

So far there is only one video up showing the range checking in action. This can be found at TotemGuru Range Checking

Update is currently waiting for authorisation by wowinterface.

Its not completely finished but now it at least works ... I hope.
I'll add the missing totems etc this weekend hopefully.

Version numbering is changed so now it reads as follows
<wowinterface>.<totemguru version>.<minory(beta) version>

So if the last digit isn't 0 then you are on a beta version.

I'm working on a fix now for 4.0.1. So far I have the totmes showing up but not going away.
Hopefully I can have it sorted by tomorrow night or friday at the latest.

Blizzard changed some stuff that the whole addon relys on so I need to rewrite part of it.

Hopefully it should work in parties as well. With the new LFG system though I've not been in a party with another shaman with it myself lol

If you try it out and it doesn't work in parties then let me know and ill look into it. The default behavior of the message sending should be to drop down to party if its not in a raid. All the assignments are sent to the individual player though so it should work ok.

This is an alpha so is still only a proof of concept but I could still do with some feedback.

At this point there is only and option for 4 buttons to cast totems with (multicast will come later)

Basically I need to know if there are any errors thrown up on it or if it has broken any previous functionality.

To try it out enable the checkbox for totem assignments in the options.
If you then load the assignment window from the options pannel you should see a list of people in the raid (or just yourself if not in a raid group). you can then click on the icons to select the ones you want that shaman to drop. press the send icon and it will populate their buttons with the totems (if they have set their version to allow assignments)

Thanks. the pally power stlye part of the addon isn't available in this release. I am just getting the basic addon on SVN at the moment. I will release a beta of this soon (it's still very basic and doesn't even include a multicast button)

I can't see it becoming as popular as pally power but I could be wrong :P

The main reason I put it in buffs/debuffs etc rather than shaman is that the feedback I have had so far seems to indicate that quite a few non shamans use the addon for two reasons. For raiders it will allow them to easily see what buffs are available and if they are in range of to totems to get those buffs so they can position themselves to get the most out of them. For raid leaders it allows them to keep tabs on who is dropping what totems (to keep track on redundant totems, missing tremor totems etc). I wouldn't be suprised to see more non shamans with this addon than shaman's tbh :P

If you think it should be in the shaman area though please let me know. I am happy to put it anywhere that it is needed. I was hoping to put it in raid buffs and shaman but I can only put it in one area.

Wonder if this will be as popular for shamans as pallypower is for paladins. Seems to serve the same function. I'll see if my guild shaman's are interested in trying it out. Thanks.
