FAN UPDATE FOR PATCH 5.2

Installation Guide:

READ THE README FILE INSIDE THE ZIP FILE!
1) Backup your Interface and WTF folders!
2) Copy over the Interface, WTF and Font folders inside your World of Warcraft folder
3) Inside the WTF folder, change "ACCOUNTNAMEHERE" to your account name (not battle.net)! in caps.
4) Inside the WTF folder change Charname to your character name (CaSe SeNsItIvE)
5) Log into WoW and type /Reflux switch Vytle (Capital V)
6) type "/msbt" in chat and use Vytle profile

Addon List:

Unitframes: PitBull, kgPanels, Quartz
Buttons: Dominos, OmniCC, Masque, nibMicroMenu
Combat: DoomCooldownPulse
PVE: ChatLoot
PVP: Lose Control
Buffs: nBuff, Weak Auras
Map: nMap, Mapster
Other: !Beautycase, Reflux, SharedMedia, nCore, oGlow

notes over Caith UI 4.x

bartender has been changed to dominos and uses 2x 12 button bars
buttonfacade has been changed to Masque
Weak Aura icons are located inside SharedMedia/icons/

My only question is: upon logging in (or reloading the ui) the ui scale resets to .9 or so, even though I have manually changed it to the lowest possible scale in game(0.64999997615814) through the ui slider (I moved frames to accommodate for this) - is there any way to prevent this from happening? sorry I left some code in to try and make it easier for people setting up the UI, simply edit nCore/core.lua and edit / delete line 11

Lua Code:

SetCVar('uiScale', 0.78) -- DO NOT MODIFY UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND THE EFFECT THIS WILL HAVE ON THE UI

Thanks for the suggestion I'll look into that addon, I was experimenting with another addon (forgot the name

) which puts a border around the icons in spell book etc so the addon you suggested would polish that off nicely

Other notes I'm adding a lot more power aura icons so far I've done:

Affliction lock
Shadow priest
Survival hunter
Elemental shaman
Ret paladin

Specs I havn't really played lately so need some suggestions (demo, destro, assassination, enhancement, prot paladin, prot warrior holy priest, feral + guardian Druid)

And working on grid2 for bgs and 10mans may expirememt with a different 25man layout.

That's fine, this is just a fan update for patch 5.0.4 since CaithUI hasn't or won't be updated anymore

Oh, okay.

Well I got everything set up, however it was complicated.

In the download, you may want to remove the config file inside the WTF folder in the next update... cause if the user isn't on the same localized client as yours, then the game won't let them login.

I followed all the instructions, and it wouldn't work until I removed that, and the DS Store files that seem to be in every folder in the WTF folder.

EDIT updated the .zip file and the change log v1.01

Ok i'll do that asap, thanks for the feedback!

I'll remove the config file from the WTF folder and the .ds store files (i'll re-compile on my windows pc)

the .ds files are nothing to worry about there from a mac http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.DS_Store

Or you could try CleanArchiver, I used it when I was doinf UI's on my mac.

and as a tip, you may just want to zip a clean version of whole UI all together, save patching everything. it would make th einstall much easier.

Oh thank you very much for the link, the updated zip was suppose to be a cleanup of the original release guess I missed some .ds files

The next update I will use your link and add mapster and lose control

I want to add another set of bars so it would look like one bar set on top of another barset. Not sure how to do this without fucking up kgpanels and the current domino set.
