This is a simple clock broker plugin, it features the ability to use local or server time, and the ability to display in military time.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Left-Click will toggle the time manager
Shift + Left-Click will toggle the calendar
Right-Click will show the options panel

-------------------------------------------------------------

Check out Broker_wClock's buddies:

Broker_wFPS
Broker_wMemory
Broker_wLatency

-------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to have either text, or value and suffix enabled on your LDB Display!

Let me know of any bugs in my portal or comments! Enjoy!

  • LibDataBroker(LDB) is a small WoW addon library designed to provide a MVC interface for use in various addons.
  • In a sense it's a lightweight FuBar or Titan Panel with various different display addons.
  • I'd suggest using Bazooka, by mitch0, to display your DataBroker addons. This LDB is a great replacement for FuBar, I found it to be just as good if not better than FuBar!
  • For more detail of what LDB is, visit Tekkub's github!

clicking not working.

Neither of the click options are working for me... (time manager/calendar)

Bazooka is the bar if that matters.

I've installed Chocolate Bar and followed your instructions directly, but still cannot reproduce it. There is a bit of a delay for the tooltip to change, if it happens again simply mouse off and back on again. The problem was you moused-on before the time was able to change, and the tooltip is not update until you mouse-off and on again.

I've also updated all of my Broker addons that use value and suffix to use text for Chocolate bar's lack of value/suffix options.

I'm not sure why Chocolate Bar has no value option, seems rather odd to me. I'm using Bazooka at the moment and it has icon, text, value, and suffix. I also followed the steps you did to get that military error, but I can reproduce it. It does what it's supposed to on mine. I'll install Chocolate bar later to see what I can do!

Hrm, Chocolate Bar doesn't have an option for "value".. only Icon and text. The same goes for any other LDB display bar I've tried. Other plugins that show the display of a value work fine, like Auditor. Not really sure how else to change that other than editing the .lua code.

Ok, I feel stupid now. I should have known that's what 'local time' meant. Just very used to always playing on a server in the same timezome I'm in and never having to make adjustments.

However, there still remains that unchecking military time didn't make it go back to the 12 hr clock until I unchecked both military and local. There's the exact steps I did:

Addon already had "local" checked
Checked Military
move mouse off then back to look at tooltip, time is in 24hr format
go into options, uncheck military (leaving local still checked)
move mouse off then back to look at tooltip, time is STILL in 24hr format
go into options, uncheck local (nothing checked)
move mouse off then back on to look at tooltip, time is now in 12 hr format

Maybe it was a fluke, or maybe it's a chocolate bar issue, no clue. Either way I thought it would be something you'd want to look into.

Make sure you have your value enabled, not the label or text on Chocolate bar, since the label is the addon name, and the value is the time. (That was my mistake since I just copy and pasted another addon's description that I made that was LDB and it required text, not value/suffix :P)

Also military time is simply using 24hrs while local time is (Realm time vs. Local time.) So for me, the realm time is 3 hours behind, and if I check local it'll push it 3 hours ahead of the server. Military and local can be checked at the same time.

For me when I have military and local time I see 14:54 rather than 11:54.

I'll look into shutting off clock/calendar buttons, but other than that all options in the addons still work as they're intended.

I'm using Chocolate Bar and rather than the time being fed into the bar, only the addon name is. The only way to see the time is to hover over it and look in the tooltip.

Also, I'm able to check both "use military time" and "Use Local Time" at the same time, resulting in the tooltip only showing military time. The only way to get it to display the local time properly is to uncheck BOTH and then recheck local time. Could either make it an either/or selection or allow for both options to be displayed at once.

Any chance of getting an option to then turn off the clock/calendar buttons on the minimap? No biggie, I can always use MoveAnything to hide them.
