RaidMechanicMove  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.1
by: Blooblahguy [More]

Very simple addon that will let you move the Sonar Reader on Atramedes, the Blood frame on Chogall, and other similar mechanics both now and in the future.

To move, simply hold down alt, and drag.

You can now also toggle a frame to move the bar even when you're not in combat. Just type any of the following commands:

/RaidMechanicMove
/RMM
/MechanicMove

1.1
Added a spot at the top of the .lua file to set default positioning for any character
Added the ability to move the bar while out of combat/zone.
1.0
Changed the name in the TOC file
Optional Files (0)

few bugs. first I can adjust the horizontal, but not the vertical. Also relogging/reloading resets the position

When you drag the frame can you make it show the current location, so that I can input those numbers in the lua file.

Also the frame is not staying in its new location. When I move it then reloadUI. then go to move it, its back in its starting location.

I added in game commands to move, and I anchored it to a created frame so that it no longer resets position in between fights.

I also put a portion at the top of the lua file so that you can set the default position for any character. This option is overrode once you use a command and move the bar.

Let me know if you find any problems. I haven't been able to test this fully, but should be totally fine.

Just wondering, did you test this yourself?
Maybe it's just me, but... that doesn't show anything at all... I think you need to be in the encounter for it to show you anything, because the frame is used multiple bosses it doesn't have a graphics to show when you run that command.

Be nice if you can find a way to make this movable without having to go the maw of madness or move it while fighting a boss.

Also if possible make it save the location data since that gets lost if you disable the addon and log in.

This addon creates a frame (a blue box) for you to click and drag when you run the slash command.

It's nice to be able to move it in combat though without typing out a command.
You could probably use both... or combine it into one addon yourself.

Don't disable the addon then?

This addon does what it promises and is very neat. Thanks for this!
