Fefina's UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v1.3.9
by: Fef [More]

I have taken a break from playing WoW so at this time my UI will not be updated. Thanks for your support!

~ Optimized for 1680 x 1050 Resolutions (full screen and window mode.) May work for other resolutions but will require some configuration. ~

This is a priest specific UI but can be easily configured to work with other classes. I don't have many alts but I have attempted to create profiles for Healing and Tanking.

How To Install:

1) Back up your "Interface" and "WTF" folders and store them on your desktop or wherever they are safe, then delete them from your WoW folder.

2) Download and extract the "Interface," "FONTS" and "WTF" folders contained in the FefinaUI file into your WoW directory.

3) Open up the new WTF folder followed by the Account folder.

4) Rename the folder called "YOURACCOUNTNAME" to your account name with caps.

5) Open your account folder and rename the "YourServerName" folder to your realm name.

6) Open that folder and rename the "YourCharacterName" folder to your character's name.

7) Log into WoW and enable out of date add ons.

8) In game, type /reflux switch HealerUI (exactly as it shows, caps where shown and no spaces where shown.) If you plan to DPS or Tank, the command is /reflux switch TankUI (or /reflux switch TankUI(windowed).) At the moment there are very few differences between the two but I plan to completely reconfigure both, so the TankUI is sort of a place holder for those plans.

9) It should work right away but if it does not, select the correct profile for each addon and everything should be spiffy.

I chose to stick with Clique, even with my recent change to VuhDo, simply because it's easier to work with my mouse bindings for my other Unit Frames (stuf) without having to make a million mouseover macros. Simply disable Clique if you wish to use your own spell click bindings through VuhDo. Tutorials are here. It's entirely possible that my own clique bindings will carry over to your UI so please check that before you go forth in your adventures on Azeroth!

Mods that *may* need to be messed with:

SLDT - simply type /sldt global, and select the correct profile. May require a /reload.

Vuhdo - make sure you have the right profile selected by clicking the "Tools" tab.

If Dominos does not immediately choose the correct profile when you switch profiles in reflux, go into the Profiles section of the config menu and manually copy the settings of the proper UI.

When you are done, /reflux save and /reload, just to be safe.

~~To try the *new* windowed version, simply switch to windowed mode via the ingame menu, then /reflux switch HealerUI(windowed) - or - /reflux switch TankUI(windowed.) May require some in game config if you don't keep your window maximized. ~~

It is entirely possible that windowed versions of my UI will work for different resolutions. Haven't had the opportunity to try that out!

Looking to make a reflux profile suit your individual needs? Of course you are! A rogue may require a slightly different set up than a priest, for example. You can make changes to a profile quite easily:

/reflux switch TankUI (or whichever profile of the 2 you wish to load)
/reflux snapshot YourNewProfileName

Now you can make changes to the profile, and when you are satisfied /reflux save and a /reload just to make sure everything is working and you're done! Just remember to type your new profile name exactly as you did when you took the snapshot.

Please let me know if there are any more or if there are any problems that I am not aware of. Thanks!

Managing Clique:

VERY important - do this before you attempt to run a raid and discover that your bindings aren't set!

1) Open your spell book
2) Find the little mouse tab on the side and select it
3) Click the options button
4) In the "Profile Management" field, find your character's name and select it. Do not select "HealerUI" or any other UI as clique saves all bindings per character, not profile.

If you do this for each character, it will keep your bindings in check.

Uses for Opie:

Things I used Opie for! -- Mounts, buffs, utility (ie: resurrection, "Have group will travel" etc.) professions, raid markers, and random stuff in my bags! It's a great, great addon and it saves a lot of bar space. Check out the author's page for specific instructions. Recommended - save per character so as not to "confuse" this amazing addon!

Weak Auras - Priest (shadow & disc,) Prot Paladin, and Hunter strings:

(I honestly can't remember which code is for which so you'll just have to import until you find the right ones!)

AddOns:

* Reflux Profile manager.
* Bagnon- Bag addon
* BeautyLoot - beautifies loot windows, loot at mouse cursor, no ingame config
* Masque - button skinning mod; I'm using the 'Elegance' skin but there are many to choose from on Wowinterface!
* Xanchat- Chat mod, enhances chat, low memory, minor ingame config, /xanchat for config options.
* Clique - mouse-over click healing mod, works well with Stuf - I still use this even with VuhDo
* Dominos - action bar mod
* BigWigs - raid encounter mod; /bigwigs
* AZcastbars- castbar mod. /acb
* Vuhdo- raid frames mod - previously Grid. /vd opt
*kgPanels - artwork for the interface. My layout is listed under "Fefina" and "Fefina(windowed)" in the KGpanels config in game, but there is a lot of art available in the shared media files if you want to create your own custom layout. /kgpanels config
* Miks Scrolling Battle Text- highly configurable scrolling battle text
* pError- gets rid of pesky error messages like "That spell isn't ready yet" check the author's how to to configure
* Wanderlust - mini map mod, no ingame config, simple .lua config
* Shared Media - tons of art and fonts to try out; I take no credit for the art I have collected. I have not included all art in my UI - simple .lua editing if you wish to add more or change the UI's look
* TidyPlates (ThreatPlates) - nameplates of awesomeness.
* Simple Power Bar - move the blizzard alternative power bar and also provides some light customization
* SLData Text - data text mod /sldt global or /sldt config - best to reload ui after any changes
* Stuf Unit Frames - highly customizable unit frames. If you don't like Grid or Vuhdo, Stuf also has a raid frames option, however I have deleted the folders as I don't use them. Downloading the mod separately will provide you with the raid folders.
* TipTac - tooltip mod.
* WeakAuras - displays important, customizable information anywhere on your screen. Similar to PowerAuras.

I take no credit for any of the addons in my addon pack. Credit for all addons goes to the amazing addon authors. Special thanks to:

Aliena
Led
Tuller
Satrina
Ishtara
the list is actually endless!

And to all the authors of the addons I've used it this UI (especially Tuller!!)

Hello, I was wondering what addon shows the abilities displayed in the middle of your screen? Like the picture of your paladin, where it displays consecration, hammer of the righteous, etc. is that weakauras? If so, is that displaying that its on cd or just simply that it was used? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the pic.

As I said before too, if you don't have your window fullscreened, some of the addons (mostly Stuf frames) will not align properly until I can fix that issue. But I'm looking into it.
I honestly don't think I have the know-how (or the time!) to add some commands into .lua for Stuf or dominos or any of the other addons that I know aren't set to the bottom of the screen. I was able to have kgpanels shift when you change your window size, but not to scale the way default ui does.

I will fix the issue you have there with dominos and with sldt, however any other features with scaling seems to me to be pretty serious programming - and I'm by no means a programmer

Hope that it's playable after the release I'll put out today though. If you need to make some frames move, they would probably be:

Stuf -
1) /stuf
2) check the toggle drag box

AZCastbar -
1) /acb
2) check the edit box
3) go to profiles and click save

Dominos -
1) /dominos
2) click configure bars
3) move your bars (right click for more options like scale, etc)
4) click "exit" in the frame at the top

Bigwigs -
1) /bigwigs
2) click configure
3) move the bars/messages, close the window when finished

I hope that helps a bit.

Anyway - frames that now scale properly with windowed mode:

kgpanels
wanderlust
sl data text
chat
raven player buffs/debuffs

The rest (dominos, Stuf, az castbars, bigwigs, MSBT, and skada) will need to be configured in game, however that's pretty easy to do - mostly a drag n' drop type of thing. It's probably best not to mess with the window sizes too much and just maximize - but I'm not about to tell people how to play the game!

in addition, Raven (the target buffs/debuffs) are now attached to the Stuf frame (the target frame) so at least when you move them, the buffs/debuffs will move with them.

Out of curiosity, what did the ui look like when you had windowed AND fullscreen? Just curious as to whether all the mods actually did what I told them to.

OH - and the addon that handles the stats (gold, fps, etc) is SLDT. That's easy to move as well - type /sldt config and you can move them. When you're done, type /sldt config.

When you're done with everything, I would recommend a /reflux save just to make sure everything is kept to your liking.

I think I need to parent properly to make this work the right way. But if you would like to make some temporary fixes yourself (this would mean that you would be unable to change the size of your window once you have everything set) That's not too tough to do. Dominos is the easiest, because all you need to do is /dominos, click configure, and them move the bar with your mouse. If you right click, it will also give you options to mess with the size and spacing, etc.

Wanderlust is configured through lua, but it's really easy. I'm not sure how well-versed you are with .lua, but you simply open wanderlust.lua and you'll see this code:

Code:
local Scale = 1.04
local r, g, b, a = 0, 0, 0, 1
local BGThickness = 0
local OffsetX, OffsetY = -56, 48
local Point, AnchorPoint = "BOTTOMRIGHT", "BOTTOMRIGHT"
Just change the local offset x & y. If you need help with how to do this, please send me a private message.

The target buffs and debuffs are raven, and I'm not sure why the player buffs and debuffs scale properly while the target buffs and debuffs do not. However, I'll figure it out! In the meantime, you would just need to type /raven and in the dropdown menu that says "buffs" you'll find target buffs and debuffs. in the general options you'll find lock/unlock.

I hope that helps. The only other mod I think that was causing me grief there was Skada, also easily moveable. But let me know - you have been extremely helpful!!

Looks like this is going to take some time, as it appears that some mods scale with the window size while others don't - I'll have to find the right line in the lua file and make those changes. I noticed that you haven't fullscreened your game window, and when I minimized/maximized my own, I found that dominos and wanderlust scale with the window while other mods like kgpanels and stuf frames don't, throwing everything off kilter. I'm sure there's an option in there somewhere. I'll do my best to figure it out.

My windowed mode idea was much more challenging than I had initially thought. Kgpanels won't save new layouts, and switching profiles is all over the map. I'm strongly considering ditching reflux altogether and simply creating new UIs for each profile.

I'll upload this week as reflux has yet again broken my UI, and for the umpteenth time I am having to start from scratch.
Reflux was my friend today. I spent some time and it *appears* to be working just fine with the windowed mode. PLEASE let me know if you have issues. Especially with kgpanels.
