I am no longer developing or maintaining World of Warcraft addons. I haven't played in years, and don't have the time or interest to continue working on addons for a game I don't play anymore. Item Tooltip Cleaner lets you hide durability, equipment sets, Heroic and Raid Finder tags, instructions for socketing and buying stacks, "Made by" tags, Reforged tags, class/level/race/rep/skill requirements, Soulbound tags, Transmogrified info, Unique tags, unused stats, item levels, upgrade levels, and vendor values (while you're not at a vendor, at the auction house, or choosing a quest reward). It also lets you change the color of bonus stats and enchant info to help make them more distinct.

Item Tooltip Cleaner is compatible with RatingBuster and other addons that read stats from the tooltip.

Type “/itc” for options, or browse to the Item Tooltip Cleaner panel in the standard Interface Options window.

Known Issues

If you remove several consecutive lines from the tooltip, you’ll end up with visible gaps between the remaining lines. This is a limitation of the Blizzard tooltip API, and there is no practical or efficient way for me to fix it in Item Tooltip Cleaner. If you’re familiar with the API and have a suggestion, let me know.

Feedback

Post a ticket or comment. If you are reporting a bug, please include detailed instructions I can follow to reproduce the bug myself, whether or not it still happens when all other addons are disabled, and the exact text of the first related error message (if any) from Bugger/BugSack/Swatter. Also, remember to check back in case I need more information from you!

Compatible with all locales. Translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Português, Русский, 简体中文, and 繁體中文.

I can get rid of them fairly easily for most tooltips, but the method fails on tooltips with icons in them (eg. items with sockets). The only way to make it work on such tooltips would be to reposition all of the font strings and icons myself, and I just don't feel like it's worth that much up-front effort (to write the code) or additional overhead (to run the code every time a tooltip gets shown) to correct such a minor aesthetic issue. :/ __________________ Retired author of too many addons. I don't use Pawn, but I do use RatingBuster and several other addons that have their fingers in the item tooltip pie, and haven't had any issues.
