Quse UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.3d
by: Qupe [More]

Quse Stream

This UI is meant to be as minimal, low memory and CPU usage as possible while maintaining a full compliment of features.
Supports all resolutions, aspect ratios and almost all languages/client localizations.

Having some knowledge of .lua - or the willingness to mess around with it - is recommended, most addons are configured in .lua.

sFilter is back!
I have included it with some basic spells for some classes but is mostly barebone.
Please open the SETTINGS.LUA file to add your own spells, all classes have template locations that fit the UI.
HOW TO:
* See Change Log for a full list of changes (please read it!) *
Fresh installations are always recommended!

Installation is a breeze; no WTF folders to rename, no hoops to jump through, no bears to wrastle.

- Back-up your Interface and Fonts folder (if you have a Fonts folder. If you don't have one, don't worry).
- Copy the contents of the QuseUI zip file into your World of Warcraft folder and launch your game client.
- Ensure out of date addons are enabled.
- Once in game, type "/install" and accept.
- Bananas!

Features
*Low memory and CPU *
*Easy Installation*
*Complete "out-of-the-box" support for all classes/specs*
*Healer and DPS raid frame layouts*
(see screenshots)

Raid Frame Indicators

*Note*
Earth Shield, PoM, and Lifebloom
indicators change color based on stack count.

FOR FONT REPLACEMENT:
Font = Pixel Font, 8pt
Font2 = Tooltip Font
FCT = Floating Combat Text

To replace fonts in-game:
- Place your desired font into the "Interface\addons\sharedmedia\fonts" folder and rename to the font you'd like to change.

To replace fonts that appear on the loading screen, chat window, etc...
- Copy your desired font into the "Fonts" folder in your Warcraft folder and rename to the appropriate names present in that folder (skurri, ARIALN__, etc...)

FOR BOSS MOD STYLING:
- Download the file located HERE
Follow the instructions on the download page.

Recommended:
- oUF_MovableFrames, by Haste. If lua editing isn't for you and default frame locations aren't your cup of tea, oUF_MovableFrames will allow you to drag and drop locations.
- Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt
Vital if you'd like to keep the sleek square outline look for non-skinned icons. Not included in this download due to its size; some people may or may not care to include it.

TO DO:

- Set up sFilter for new abilities and adjust location (currently not included in package).
- Finish adjusting raid indicator texts and boss debuffs.
------------

All credit goes to the addon authors - thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.
Special thanks go out to Haleth, Monolit, hankthetank, Nin, MichaelSpain, P3lim, Zork and anyone else who's assisted me along the way to accomplishing my ideas - some pretty key elements of this interface are a direct result of their help and work.

----------

Any help is appreciated - and not at all required.

I do this for fun but if you enjoy my interface and would like to show your appreciation, click below:

01/15 - Release.3
- Grid2 should be fixxxxxxxxxxxedddddd!

- NibEclipse removed, oUF_NIN covers this.
- NibRunes removed, replaced with a modified guRunes - looks REALLY slick, fantastic run animation!
- TipTac replaced with FreebTip
- Cascade should now parent to the minimap (if it doesn't try removing the SavedVariables for this AddOn).

- Entire UI moved inward by 4 pixels.
- Shapeshift bar moved above player frame.
- TinyDPS border fixed, now 1px.

That lumstats error looks like you didn't have the sharedmedia folder or moved the font files or something. That's something that happens when the font that's set isn't there (ex - missing folder). And I can see in that larger error that the font isn't set for another addon.

EDIT: I redownloaded the UI and replaced the files, it seems fine now. Any idea what would cause those massive errors so I don't do anything wrong.

I am getting an obscene amount of errors, so much so that I get that message saying my addons are giving too many errors, it's mainly these types.

Code:

Edit: Tried some stuff. In the .lua linked above there was 3 spots with altpowerbar:Hide(), I changed 2 to altpowerbar:Show() , which "kinda" worked, except for the fact that the unitframes got totally screwed over. I went to plan B and just removed the .lua file from the directory which actually did the job, showing unitframes as intended and the default altpowerbar. Although, if you got time I'd appreciate some more "legit" solution, as in editing the code in that file to give me both the default as well as the built in oUF one.
Sending the author another note about it. Does the latest version I have out still not remedy that weird alt power bar? And that aside, is it really just that meditation quest with the crazy bar?
There are two or three mediation quests in Jade forest which gives the bar that you have to keep in the middle. Then there's the Unyelding Fist: Bamboo/Wood/Stone in Townlong that gives another bar which is a circle, you'll have to wait for it to fill before using the skill.

Hey Qupe,

Love the update to the UI, cleaner than ever. I've managed to tweak most everything in the lua to my preference, only thing that's still nagging me is lumBags; I can't find a way to unlock and move it either in-game or in the .lua files.

Thanks. -Beat

But the hover feature is definitely not default, something is causing it to happen. FreebTip does open multiple tip windows, so you can just click everything and have them all open.

(assuming this was your comment/issue!)

I will look in FreebTip for anything.

And do you have any idea what kind of addon would allow that to work with your chat? It is very nice since I am lazy with clicking.

Edit: Just tried Prat 3.0 to see if it will allow it as well, but did not. Assuming it will be some sort of Tooltip addon.

Edit 2: I just teamed it up with Fizzwidget HoverTips and it works perfectly! If anyone else is curious, that is what I used to fix it.

So hey Qupe, MoP is around the corner and I'll just have to ask. Is there any way I make oUF not disable blizzard's alt power bar? Once again I'm not too good with coding and I guess this is just a fail safe way of not having it to hide it when I need it for the meditation quest in Pandaria.

It should be in oUF / elements / altpowerbar.lua but that's as far as I get-

Ty!

Thanks man, that worked like a charm. And I already found out how to make the action bars always show so now I will start using it!

By everything, I literally mean EVERYTHING.

I use 1920x1080 wide and when I loaded the UI, I was sad to see it so small. And if I change the UI Scale in the System tab, it just goes back once I reload or log off and back on.

Any help would be appreciated! Would hate to have to go back to Shestak UI because of it!

Not to sound rude, but it looked like this part of my post got skipped over. Any solution or ideas would be great! <3
I guess I didn't quite get what you meant at first. I thought you wanted to, like, manually make every unitframe bigger etc...

Go into QuseTweaks folder and open Tweaks.lua.
Find:
Lua Code:
  1. SetCVar("useUiScale", 0)                     -- Turns off UI scaling
And remove it.

That's disabling the UIscaler every time you relog/reload.

They should be within the party unitframes as small dots. Red for DPS, blue-ish for Tank, and Green for Healer, if I remember right. (Also a secondary dot for the party leader.)
Ha! You're right - somehow I just hadn't noticed them before. I feel dumb as hell, now

I do however have one more problem - the heal prediction is really really off. Is there a quick fix?
