Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0.4
by: Neal, ballagarba, thomasjohnshannon

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Thanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something! Some addons like nCore, oUF_Neav and oUF_NeavRaid have an in-game configuration.

How can I move the player, target, focus, boss and arena frames?
Use the /neav slash command to toggle the anchors to move the frames around.

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.
/ntooltip toggles the tooltip anchor.
/alertframemover toggles the "talking head" anchor.
/neavcast toggles the anchors for the castbars.
/neavbag toggles the bag bar.
/moveextraactionbar toggles the anchor for the extra action button.

No worries Don't be afraid to change stuff in the code to see what happens, worst thing that could happen is you break something and get a Lua error. It's a good way to get a feel for things and learn.

http://wowprogramming.com/docs is also a good source for the API among other things.

Well, actually if you'd read the addon page for nMainbar it clearly says how to move the petbar (among others).

The comment in nMainbar\modules\short\extras.lua isn't intented for regular users to try and figure out how to move bars around, it's merely an indication of what the code that follows it does.

And honestly, the code is pretty clear the average programmer, so there really isn't any confusion. If anything, the comment should probably have been something more along the lines of "Make possess, pet and stance bar movable", and not even mention which keys are used since it's clear by just looking at the code:

Code:
button:HookScript('OnDragStart', function(self)
	if (IsShiftKeyDown() and IsAltKeyDown()) then
		self:StartMoving()
	end
end)
But I guess since you've started learning just now, I should cut you some slack

This is fantastic. But I have to ask, cause I'm having trouble figuring it out...

How would I remove the action bar styling but keeping the button border style only, but no blizzard art at all - while keeping the Pico Menu?

Also how would I remove oUF Neav without removing oUF compatibility so I could use this as my unit frames instead? http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info19107-oUF_Sniffles.html

That's really all I want to change, I don't like the blizzard style art, never have.

With MoP beta the default unit frames got the option to show debuffs at the top instead of below the target unit frame. Will this option also become available in ouf_neav?

Oops, sorry about that. Loaded up just fine, thanks! I downloaded the zip file before but it gave me the old version. Right below the link for zip is the MoP version link.

Thanks for updating it, I would really miss this UI. I tried it out and got some errors. I would disable the mod causing the error and then reload to get the next error. The only mods enabled were Neav UI and Ampere.
That's because you're still using the stable version. I take it you cloned the repository instead of downloading the zip file? If you clone, you need to switch to the mop branch like so:

Code:
$ git clone https://github.com/renstrom/NeavUI.git
$ cd NeavUI
$ git checkout mop
Also, when browsing on Github it's easy to accidentally switch back to the "master" branch, instead of the "mop" branch. Github defaults to the "master" branch, so you have to actively switch to the "mop" branch.

However I will probably merge the "mop" branch back into the "master" branch soon, since the pre-MoP patch is probably around the corner and I consider it fairly stable.
