Reputation Bars  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v8.0.0
by: PontusM, mjumnito

DESCRIPTION

Track your reputation with some glorious bars!

Reputation Bars is a modular addon that lets you watch one or more faction standings, i.e. the amount of reputation you have with them. It can be used to track specific factions or automatically track the ones you gain rep with. It is especially useful for those with custom UIs that no longer have the default Blizzard rep bar available.

You can use this while leveling to see your reputation bar or simply as a way to show you how much you have left for various factions as you grind your way to exalted...

FEATURES
* WatchBar module replaces the default Blizzard reputation watch bar.
* WatchBar tracks the currently active faction (similar to Blizzards built in bar).
* WatchBar can automatically switch the active faction to the one you gain reputation with.
* AutoBars module that automatically tracks recently gained reputation.
* StaticBars module to track specific factions that you specify.
* Automatically fadeout bars when no reputation has been gained for a while to avoid cluttering your UI.
* All bars can be customized in order to fit most UI configurations (supports SharedMedia for a larger variety of fonts and bar textures).
* Simply disable any modules you don't need through the configuration UI.

I recommend that you also install the SharedMedia addon for a larger variety of fonts and bar textures.

CONFIGURATION

Configuration is done using the Blizzard addon configuration interface. You can right click on the title bar to open it, or use the slash command /rptb.

ReputationBars is not abandoned ...

Good Day everybody,

Up until very recently, I was unaware that ReputationBars was also available here on WowInterface, and as such it would seem that this particular addon was abandoned.

Fortunately, this is not the case, and the addon is being actively maintained over on Curseforge, with the assistance of a new maintainer, namely me, Karpana, since the release of Shadowlands.

Please head on over to https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/reputation-bars, to continue the conversation and snag the latest update which includes the following changes:

***Shadowlands***
  • Quality of life updates for Paragon reputations
  • Rework/Refactor of "non-standard" Reputations (Ve'nari, Archivists, Codex, Pandaren friends, Nat Pagle, etc..)
  • Gui Updates (scrollbars) for lists of Factions (such as Inactive)

***DragonFlight*** (preparing for pre-release)
  • Update of Ace3 Libraries to r1281
  • API Updates in advance of Dragonflight

can you, if possible, which I LOVE THIS addon without question... add if this certain rep has an Paragon, do xx / 10000 instead of "Exalted" when mouse is hovering the rep bar. I do not wanna open Reputation window to check everytime nor add another addon just to do that.

Many thanks in advance for consideration!

Modified to track Archivist Codex post Tier 6

I manually updated line 139 to:

if (friendID ~= nil and factionID ~=2432) and (friendID ~= nil and factionID ~=2472) then --added Ve'nari (2432) & AC (2472) as an exception.

Works a champ.

Click-through function

Hi,

first sorry for my english I hope you will understand.

This is very nice and useful addon but one thing I miss. When I make "StaticBars" non-visible would it be possible to add click-through function?

Thank you for answer and have a nice day.

Inactive section needs a scrollbar

Basically title. If you want static bars to track one of the older reps, the list is quite long and currently you can't scroll the full list and only have access to the first 15 reps or so.

Thanks for a great addon. It has been great when repgrinding in BFA for sure. Good job!

Hello PontusM,

After today's update 8.0 from Atila00, I still have that error when I login into the game. Checking if either you or Atila00 could check this one.

Thank you very much.

Would that be possible, and are you still working on this addon? I hope so, because it really is good work and does something unique.
Thank you! Actually I'm taking a break from WoW at the moment and I'm not actively working on the addon.

However! I do write down all the requests and I try to implement the best suggestions when I have the time. It is nice to know that the addon is being used!

Yes, I'm afraid this is not (yet) supported. I may get around implementing it someday but currently I'm having some time off from WoW so I can't promise anything.

Would it be possible to have them sorted by expansion too. If you look at the images in my previous posts, you could see that I still have Shado-Pan assault from Mists of Pandaria that I still work on when I have some time to spare listed right in the middle of the Legion ones. It would be great if I could just send it at the end of the list.

No sort at all would also be an idea. We could then be able to place the factions in the order we'd like them to be listed. They would simply appear in the order we add them to the list. In my case, I would choose to have all the main factions of Legion on top, but I would put Talon of Vengeance at the bottom of the Legion ones (I hate PVP... hehehe) and then Shado-Pan assault.
That's a good idea. I'll add it to my todo list.
