HealBot Continued   

For those that reported they are losing MT assignments with the new version, I suspect your raids use oRA for MT assignments.

I take full blame for this bug as when I tested my enhancement for Blizzard UI MT assignments, I did not also test with oRA. Strife was kind enough to incorporate my enhancement into his latest release, thus the bug is my fault.

The simple fix is to change line number 1297 of the version 2.4.2.0 HealBot.lua as follows:

OLD:
if CT_RA_MainTanks then return end

NEW:
if CT_RA_MainTanks or oRA.maintanktable then return end

The end result of this change is that HealBot will ignore the Blizzard UI MT assignments if you are running CTRA or oRA.

This does not address the case in which the raid leader uses CTRA or oRA2 to assign MTs, but the HealBot user is not running either of those addons. In that case, the MT assignments would still be lost unless the HealBot user loads CTRA or oRA2.

My most sincere apologies to those of you who have experienced problems with the MT assignments.

seems the range tracking is a few ft off.
On brutallus yesterday, healbot would show me out of range of some people, but Grid will show that they are in range, and they were in fact in range (but barely) since i could heal them.
I was playing a shaman, using chain heal.

For me the same.
Its very hard to heal when tank group dissapired.

after using /hb ri
tankrgoup appiar for 2 sec & dissapiar again.

sometimes tankgroup is ok but its for 10 min & after this dissapiar again.

edit: dissapired = tanks shown as usial players. Like somebody remove "main tanks" in heal tab.

I have a mouse with 8 buttons. I would like to configure buttons 7 and 8 to healing spells. Is there any way I can do that?

Maintanks keep dissappearing in new version.

I am also having the same issue with the target bar. Any help on this is appreciated.

is there any chance to continue this addon and make it with visual and functional improvements of the grid addon?
what i would like are the falowing:
1. visual improvement - the green buttons are really ugly, especially the names of the players wich are hardly visible.
make is customizable so that can chose the colors like in grid addon.
Also make a posibility to chose the colors or the ammount of color that has to be removed when showing how much i will heal my target.
This is one thing that made me chose healbot instead of clique + grid.
2. functionality.
- is it possible to be able to chose the position where i want to see the mana of the targets?
- also please make it possible when switching between single/ party/raid to chose the position of the bars, not only the size and layout.
- please add to the tooltip the information of the debuffs that a player that needs cleanse has. This means that i would like to see something like this on the tooltip:
1x [icon] This debuff does X action
3x [icon] This debuff does Y action
- please make the posibility to display the debuffs on the player bar, on the upper side of it, or with numbers on that debuff square to show how many debuffs of that kind it has, or to have the posibility to display de debuffs in the left/right side of the bar or even under the bar.
- also show the agrro gain dot like in grid.
- you can show the debuffs not necessary with debuff icon, but i would chose it to be with colored squares.
- also show a square or something around the player that is selected
- also show a square of some color on the players that are going to receive healing from other healers.
- make the text of the bars more customizable.

In other words, i want a combination of healbot functionality with grid visuals and functional improvements.
the things that i like most about healbot is that:
- the health that will a target have after heal is displayed.
- the cast distances are set by default correctly.
- the fact that health going down/up on damage/heal is made in steps, that attracts my attention much better.

I add here that I would like to highlight is some way -
(with a combination of mouse+keys?) wich ones are tanks and with an option to make it possible to advance in the bars position, so that i can have the tanks marked for faster reactions.

Please make the spaces between bars more customizable, so that i can make it solid (maybe it is possble but didn;t find this option)

In the next update can we get the option to have the bars expand upwards? The reason being is i have all my main stuff i monitor bottom center and id like the window to add new group members upwards so that its not just floating loose when im just duoing or solo. I use it to heal myself solo so i dont want to have it just turn off when im not grouped.

Or is this already an option somewhere that i missed?

If not, point me in the direction and I will take a stab at doing it myself. I am full UI mod author of a vanguard UI, but thats in xml. But i should be able to figure it out if i had a place to start.

In a previous version of HealBot (I'm not sure which one, unfortunately) I had the ability to 'set' the order that group members were displayed in - there was a little button thingy next to their name that could be clicked to 'lock' them in place.

Is that feature still around? If so, how do I activate it?

i have a feature request but I dont know if it's feasible, or whether it'll just open up a whole new can of worms, but I was wondering if it's possible for Healbot to detect non-curable debuffs, such as Felmyst's encapsulate or Brutallus' burn. Right now I use healbot 95% of the time for healing, but those are the cases where I have to look at my Grid for those debuffs too.

Wonderful, wonderful add-on. As a resto drood, the second or two Healbot saves me often makes the difference between a maintained Lifebloom stack and a growl of frustration when I'm a moment too slow and one expires. So first off, many thanks to the author.

But I seem to have a problem with the 4/14 build with using macros instead of a spell name. I have two macros, one for Lifebloom (called Lblm) and one for Regrowth (Rgrw), that I use to activate trinkets. They're relatively basic, as such:

#showtooltip Regrowth
/use 13
/stopcasting
/use 14
/stopcasting
/cast Regrowth

Here's the problem: If I use either macro name in Healbot, then clicking the associated Healbot mouse button on a Healbot bar kicks off the macro, but the spell targets my current target rather than the Healbot bar target I clicked on. It's entirely reproducible and happens with either macro.

I don't know if this is a new problem or if I'm just now recognizing an old limitation. Anyone have any insight? I'd really like to use these macros.

p.s. For you other resto droods out there, the Lifebloomer add-on pairs extremely well with Healbot. You can specify which targets to track for its HoT timers, which show how many lifeblooms you have stacked along with time remaining for all your HoTs. http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/9839/

EDIT: Found the answer after some more digging. To get Healbot to cast a spell in a macro on the proper target, you need to add [target=hbtarget], as such: /cast [target=hbtarget] Lifebloom;. That breaks the macro for use in a regular action bar, but allows it to work when you click a healbot bar.

I'm having a problem. I can't cast anything with my left button or middle button. I didn't change anything to cause this as far as i know. I've tried deleting the addon from the interface folder and downloading again. That didn't work. I tried /reload ui, reset hb, all that stuff and nothing works. Anything i can do?

I have joined the Channel "HBmsg" and editing the HealBot.lua so that I see the outputs. Now when I cast a "Prayer of Healing" or a "Flash Heal"
in the HBmsg Channel appears the text:
[6. HBmsg] [Sotran]: [14:35] DEBUG: UNIT_SPELL_CAST_SENT from player=Sotran

that means HB detects the right name of my priest...
