Elemental Invasion Boss Alert

Version: 1.01
by: mrthornhill [More]

The purpose of this addon is to inform you of what and when the elemental bosses are available for the current invasion. This will allow you to not have to open the LFD window and check, or visit Org/TB to check for portals. You can go about your business and it will inform you of any changes.

It checks for new bosses every minute and will display a red warning in the center of you screen whenever there are new bosses available. It will also play the ReadyCheck sound when this occurs.

*Note this does not tell you when the city invasion is about to start, only when the bosses are available.

This is a DataBroker addon, and as such does not display anything on it's own. You will need to install one of the many DataBroker display addons (ie Fortress, DockingStation, etc)

Please leave comments if you find any issues

v1.01 : Fixed issues with folder name and toc/lua naming inconsistencies.

Probably safe to remove this mod now.
It was extremely helpful for the short lived event though, thanks!

I appreciate you following up, I'll look into it. Though it's becoming impossible to test as it is rare that anyone is completing the event on my server.
Sorry that it hasn't been functioning correctly for you.

Keep in mind it checks every minute, so if say you were participating in the city invasion event and finish it, and the timer had just fired prior to you finishing, the addon won't check again for another minute. So for that minute it will continue to report 0 bosses available.
It may be that this was the case with you, and it just happened to check when you opened your dungeon finder window.

Sorry, I could increase the rate at which it checks, it just didn't seem that important to have it firing every second.

Kinda defeats the purpose.

The problem is the name of the folder included in the zip file - if you rename it from elemental-invasion-boss-alert to ElementalInvasionBossAlert it will work correctly. Has to do with how it's defined in the TOC file.

Edit: beaten to it apparently

Naming

Yup, yup. Won't load. You need to be consistent in your naming:
I remianed everything to - ElementalBosses

toc
lua
dir
and in the toc file, the title and the pointer to the lua

Doesn't show up in addon list?

Hello there! Great idea for a mod, I'm excited to use it :]

Unfortunately, when I install it to my AddOn folder, it doesn't seem to show up in my AddOn list in game. I installed it twice, fresh, just to make sure, but it just won't show up.
