Error message with outfitter

This seems like a great mod and I've been able to use it a bit, but I've been getting this error message when i try and scroll on the window that opens to select the different outfits. The error message is below. Any idea if this is some problem within Outfitter or something going wrong between outfitter and some other program?

Thanks for any help.

4.3b8 should fix that. I've got it posted on Curse but haven't posted it here yet.

Re: Error message with outfitter

It's just a bug in Outfitter. 4.3b8 is up on Curse if you want to grab that, otherwise avoid scrolling the list to prevent the error from popping up. I'll try to get 4.3b8 posted here soon, but I'm turning out about one beta build per day so I got lazy on b8

I have been having a problem with stance dancing. I am a Fury Warrior with Titan's Grip, but if change my stance then my off hand weapon unequipts and my sheild does not equipt this also happens when i mount up or dismosunt, my off hand just unequipts. Is there a code i need to type in manually or is there an Outfitter patch comming out to fix this problem?

Adding a new option?

I thought this was an option before but is there anyway to add one that will disable automatic gear switching in a BG? It's inconvenient (and sometimes costly) to mount up, have your riding crop switch, and then get jumped with a riding crop instead of a pvp trinket.

Thanks

Re: Adding a new option?

The Riding outfit has a setting for that, you can access it using the Settings item in the menu next to the Riding outfit. The option to disable in battlegrounds for the riding outfit is on by default, not sure how yours got turned off.

WotLK hit, crit and haste

[reposting this in main forum, sorry for duplicate]

With the latest 3.x patch, hit rating, crit rating, and haste attributes are now shared by caster and melee items. Outfitter currently offers to create outfits that maximize spell hit, spell crit, and spell haste, but these "spell" attributes no longer exist at all. If I want to create a spell crit outfit, I now have to use melee crit instead.

I can optimize for the "melee" options of hit, haste and crit, and that works OK for a pure caster class like a warlock, but it breaks down for a hybrid class like a shaman (or paladin, or druid) that has both caster and melee gear in the bank. My shaman ends up with some rather odd combinations of gear with a jumble of caster and melee gear. I could go through and hand-optimize each set, which is what I do now, but this means Outfitter is not as useful as it could be. I have two suggestions to solve this:

1. convince Outfitter to recognize the difference between spell gear and melee gear, so when I ask for "spell hit" it gives priority to items with attributes that casters need (intelligence, spirit, spell power, mp5). When I ask for "melee hit", it should prefer items with attributes that enhance melee (strength, attack power, agility).

2. (possibly a lot harder) allow me to "blacklist" certain items in my inventory, so they are not used when generating new outfits. The easiest way I could imagine doing this would be to indicate a particular bag whose contents are ignored by Outfitter.

This should finally fix Titan's Grip. I designed it to automatically update your 2H weapon item info in your outfits with the changes needed to fix this, but you *might* have to de-select and re-select the 2H weapons in each of your outfits in order to update the item snapshot.

Version 4.3b9 Changes

- FEATURE: Outfits can be set to display a specific title when worn
- BUGFIX: Fixed menu item colors for patch 3.0
- BUGFIX: More attempts to get Titan's Grip working correctly

Note that this site has to approve new uploads and it may take up to an hour for the download to be made available on the site.

"Player buff" and strange focus-problem

Hello
I cant get the automatic changes to work correctly when using the "player has buff" option, the last patch messed it up. None of the buffs I have tried worked, and I have tried quite a few (the other pre-scripts works fine).

Outfitter now also seems to interfeer whit the blizzards focus-function. When I write the name of the buff Im looking for in the outfit-script the chat says "[ Test]OnEditFocusGained" & "[ Test]OnEditFocusLost".
When I try to clear the focus by using the menu of the new focus-portrait a warning comes up "outfitter has been blocked by an action only availible to the blizzard UI. You can reload this addon and reload the UI".
Just thought you wanted to know that in case you havnt seen this problem yet
well, byebye

Re:

The [Test] messages are coming from Outfitter and are just remnants from my debugging while getting Outfitter working with patch 3.0. I'll get those removed.

The "action blocked" thing when trying to use the set focus menu item is caused by a Blizzard bug in their menu system. There's not much I can do about that, though I've been working on re-writing their menu code and embedding it in Outfitter so that I just don't use their system. Many other addons will cause this same problem. Specifically, it happens when an addon uses menus that have more than 10 or 15 items (I forget the exact number). The additional menu items have to be allocated by Blizzard's code but their code ends up tainting itself in the process.

I'll have to look into the buff detection and I suspect it'll be easy to fix it up to work with patch 3.0.

Switch-Switchback?

I guess I'm having pretty much the same trouble that some others are having, I use this on three of my toons, my 70 to switch out my boots and a trinket when I mount and 2 rouges to switch out my main hand with a dagger when going into stealth, my problem is when I dismount or unstealth my items don't switch back automaticly...
