KNTinyBarMod

Version: 1.3.1
by: Aitch [More]

Description
A lightweight minimalist barmod that has all my favorite features of heavier mods like Bartender/Bongos/Dominos, and none of the excess baggage.

-Removes superfluous art.
-Does not interfere with encounters that use special actions, or vehicles.
-Standalone
-No configuration
-Tiny memory footprint (1kb, versus ~1.2MB for Bartender)
-Keys are bound through the standard Blizzard Keybinds menu.
-"Tooltip" style background behind action bars.

*Does not allow movement of bars

1.1
-Fixed and error in .toc file rendering mod unuseable. (thanks Baine)
-Added "Tooltip" style background behind action bars.
-Button numbering given a cleaner looking font.

1.2
-Removed auto-hide functionality.
-Removed auto-lock button functionality.
-Certain elements rescaled to fit the background more cleanly.

1.2.1
-Fixed issues with WoW patch 4.0

1.3.1
-Updated (.toc) file to 5.3.

In the works
-Moving the right bonus action bars slightly up to give room in the bottom right corner for user's UI elements. (combat log, meters, etc)
-Making a "Tooltip" style background for the stance bar.
-Making a "Tooltip" style background for the pet bar.
-Making the bars scalable.
-Adding a color & opacity configuration window for the backgrounds.
-Removing the right background when the right action bars are turned off.
-Fixing the action bar number indicator.

is there any chance you might add an option to hide the bags on the action bar exept for the default backpack?(i'm saying option because its a way to save space if you use an addon like litebag or bagnon)

Shadow Form Bars not getting changed

Hi

First off - I love this addon. I like the reaction "feel" of the blizz bars, but they aren't very attractive, so this addon is really perfect for me.

I did run across something wierd tonight though. I have an 85 pre-made shadow/holy priest on the cata beta and the bars I get in shadow form are not changed by this addon. They are the bottom left bars - the one that usually shows and the one you can get to with the little down arrow thing.

All the others (top left, top right, micro menu and both vertical right side bars) work just fine - and ALL the bars work ok as long as I am not in shadow form. I think it might have something to do with stances maybe? Anyway, it's not a big deal but I thought you would like to know. I don't know if it happens on the live game or not.

I just want to tell you one more time how much I truly love this addon! It's sleek and smooth looking and goes with just about any other UI type mods out there, and my buttons still have the same "feel" that I like so much. Thank You very much .

Thanks for the good words! Its nice to see people with low comment counts posting for my addon.

1-) This feature was just requested on Curse as well and I started looking at how I could make this work.

2-) I'm not certain to which numbers you're referring. The little number next to the up and down arrows perhaps? I just noticed that it is missing and that is unintended. I'll try to fix this asap.

3-) Adding a color & opacity configuration window is definitely something I'll be looking into in the near future.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! It's most likely that each of these changes will be implemented in separate updates over the next few months.

i readed the comments ( also surprised there is only a few, imo it should be over thousands bcus its great ^^ ) anyway i know ur tryin to find a way to add scale option so i ll ask a few things;

1-) is there a way to close the right bar and right bar2 background ? i dont use it so it looks a bit weird

2-) is there a way to show which action bar we r usin at the moment like blizz UI i am very used to it somehow i miss the little numbers

3-) is there a way to make background color solid instead of semi transperent ? ( like solid black )

Sorry for my bad English and typo ^^

Well, my original intent was to have a super simple mod with no configuration possible. However, since my first release I've come to realize not everyone has the option to play in 1900x1200 resolution. Therefore I'm currently looking at options to modify the scale and location of the bars.

tldr: I'm working on it!

Thanks for the input.

I like to move the chat frame all the way down in the corner and i like to have recount on the other side. The scaling of blizzards UI dos not do what I want cues it makes everything small I just want the bars a bit smaller.

All in all good work.

Support added at curse, and through the curse client. Wowinterface support will continue as usual.

Re: !!!

There's no easy way. I'm making it a point of having 0 configurable options. However, if you go in the .lua, you can delete every line that includes the command "SetAlpha(0.1)". This should work fine, but might take some time depending on what text editor you are using.

This is almost /exactly/ what I have been looking for; no art but nearly identicle to default action frame bars. One thing, is there an easy way to turn off the mouse in/out fading and the tooltip background? I'd prefer for them to be shown constantly (I forget keybinds like a pro/watch those for cooldowns and whatnot since I have been adjusting to nearly 100% default ui) and I took a look at the LUA but I am afraid it's far beyond my knowledge.

Any help would be great, thank you.

Update: Figured it out for the tooltip background, Just used the archived version and fixed the ToC. Any help on the mouseover fading would still be appreciated though :< [Spam edits ftw]
