Designed to give visual or audible cues to the user in response to in-game events, such as gaining buffs or debuffs. Types of cues range from simple texture displays to stack counters, timers to timer bars, and are fully user-configurable. Can be animated or have sounds attached as well.

If you upgraded to Power Auras 5, it is recommended that you remove it and restore your old WTF folder configuration files for PowerAuras if possible. If you did not upgrade to Power Auras 5, everything should work as normal.

The GTFO Addon will work with both Power Auras 4 and Power Auras 5 and no update is necessary.

From now the addon can be found on Curse too:

Slash commands
  • "/pa" - Brings up the configuration menu.
  • "/powa" - Brings up the configuration menu.

What changed so far
  • The addon is fully updated for Mists of Pandaria, ids, spells, classes, power and instance types, api changes, etc.
  • Also the addon is going to properly work in older game clients too.
  • The addon's whole GUI menu got tweaked up, bugged parts are fixed.
  • Added new fonts, texture, sounds.
  • Fixed a lot of glitchy textures.
  • Recoded all texture to RLE loseless targa, which uses less memory. (When the addon show a texture, then the texture is going to stay compressed in the memory, the video card is going to decompress it, and it's going to stay uncompressed in the video card's cache.)
  • Added dropdowns to change the textures blend mode. (This function also replaces the removed "Glow" buttons functionality when set to "ADD".)
  • Added dropdowns to change the frame's and the texture's strata levels. (1 single texture can be placed on 8*20*4*15 = 9600 different strata levels.)
  • Added an option to use gradient colors for the texture, this function also works with the random color function properly.
  • Added an option to grayscale textures.
  • Added an option to display icons with rounded edges.
  • Added a function to rotate textures.
  • Every slider has an editbox now.
  • Every slider's value can be changed with mousewheel up/down, while the mouse is over a slider or it's editbox. (This function replaces the removed "-" and "+" buttons functionality.)
  • Cluthcy and bugged animations got fixed, their other parts got tweaked.
  • Added an option to show predefined, custom and custom unitid (player, target, focus, etc) type 3D Models from the game. This models can be animated, rotated, zoomed in/out, or moved inside of their frame, within all the other functions what textures has.
  • Sounds will be played when you test or hide and aura, if sound is assigned for that aura.
  • Millions of other smaller fixes and changes, see Change Log or "!Changelog.txt" for details.

Small note I feel that you have deleted the textures that make the "Gas Mask". In the version 4.23.30 Alpha 22.

It's a good idea, but it pretty hard to code something like that, because the addon don't just search for spell names but action bar spells, marco names, lines in macros, lines from the buff's/debuff's tooltips etc.

About the RPPM, ICD currently have no function to get this kinda information from the game itself. You can only get infos like that if you store this values inside your addon.

However if you want to track ICD of your trinkets and enchants then i have an addon for you:

Thanks it's actually a typo i made at like 1 or 2 am, and didn't tested the addon after the code cleanup.

About the sounds i could add more sounds too, or if you want to keep your personal custom sounds or textures after updates:

1. Exit the game and the launcher.
2. Create a new folder called like "PowerAurasMyCustomStuff" inside the "WoWInstall/Interface/AddOns" folder.
3. Copy your custom sounds/textures into this "PowerAurasMyCustomStuff" folder.
4. Start the game and in the game menu: Interface - Addons - Power Auras Classic you will see an editbox which points to the Custom sound folder.
5. Set this to "Interface\AddOns\PowerAurasMyCustomStuff\".
6. On the aura's sounds tab now you can type any soundfiles to the Cusomt starting and ending sound's editbox that you copied into this new custom folder. Or you can use any sounds from the game too like: "Sound\Creature\Mimiron\UR_Mimiron_TankDeath01.wav".

(WoW only supports ".mp3" and ".ogg" for custom sounds, and pricky about the ".mp" encryption.)

Make sure you exit the game and the launcher before you copy it over. Also after you log on on the character selector page check the addons and see if it wil show up there or not.

Ah, I was hoping it would be straightforward to add some more character pages. But if all of them are numbered sequentially or whatever in the saved variables file and sliding in some more character ones would mess up everyone's current auras. . . ugh. And adding some sort of saved variables conversion utility is way more than I'd expect a free add-on author to even consider unless they were rewriting an entire app from the ground up. Hmm, would it be possible to add some more character pages after the global ones? (That's not an elegant solution I know.)

Thanks for the info and links on textures. I was able to extract all of the built-in ones so I can play with them. I had to find a BLP converter and download it, but it works. I just need to play with the command line parameters now to tweak the output files.
I'll see what can i do, i can create a conversion tool like that one you menthoned, just i'm afraid it could create more bugs then it solves.

The "Custom Textures" accept ".blp" textures too (If you type: "filename." into the editbox it can display any texture that wow can handle.), so you don't need to convert them, also i can change the addon to handle ".blp"s in the Aura folder too.

Thanks for your feedback, i'm planning to update the addon as long as i can, i still have many more ideas and improvements in mind, just some of them are not so easy to implement.

You can find the addon on curse too from now, i know a lot of ppl use the curse client, and it's also easier and faster then manual installs and you won't miss the updates:

About the paladin seals, i aware that you can cancel seals as a paladin (Not sure whats the point of this tho.), just like druids but druids has their human form in their [stance:0] slot.

There is a seal/stance/shapeshift form called "Humanoid". A lot of ppl don't know about it, this is getting triggered when you don't have any seal/stance/shapeshift form activated, aka you are in human form. (The name came from druids.)

So if you select "Humanoid" from the seal dropdown, it's gonna indicate that you are in the [stance:0] this means you don't have any seal/stance/shapeshift form up. I think you can save some aura slots if you use this trigger.

I could also make the stance dropdown to have multiple selections, to accept more seals/stances/forms in one aura.

Yeah, I keep meaning to try the Curse updater - it would save me some time. As it is now, I update my 70+ add-ons manually. But I've had some bad experiences with updaters in the past, so I don't really trust them, especially with add-ons where I have custom-made files in the add-on's folders (like Power Auras) or for one where I've had to manually tweak something else in the LUA files. I'm slightly OCD in that regard.

I saw the "Humanoid" selection and just assumed it was for druids. I never even thought to select it on my Paladin and see what would happen. I'll check it out. But adding the ability at some point to allow multiple stances/seals in one aura could come in pretty handy.

I'll look into this we could impement the icon stuff, but the addon use textures for timers too, and not fonts so i cant support fonts. (This might change in the future, but this means a lot of changes so it needs lot of coding.) Anyway you can change the Timer texture, with the "Timer Texture" dropdown on the "Timer" tab.
