SPGauge

Version: 2.0.3
by: lilgulps [More]

**About SPGauge**
Currently only works for spellpower until I release v2.1
(This feature is coming soon)

SPGauge is a lightweight stat monitor (About 13kb ingame) and display utility for combat. The gauge uses an auto gauge feature to set the values of high and low for you by default. It also allows you to disable auto gauging and set a minimum and maximum manually. The result is a "speedometer" like effect that will let you see just how "high" or low your given stat is at any time.

For use with abilities which you only want to use when stat is maxed out
E.X. Mage combustion

**NEW IN V2.0.X**

  • New Options Menu Added For Easy Configuration Without Slash Commands!
  • Added a new scaling feature: Set the size of the gauge in the options menu to find a better fit on your UI.
  • Default values should be set correctly now upon first addon load.
  • Also made improvements to auto gauging logic, still not perfect but getting there.

**Getting Started**

On first login
Values for low and high are set to their defaults so

Enter the configuartion menu using the command /spg
Unlock the frame and move it to where you want.
Select settings for auto gauging, statelock and high and low variables.
Select scale

Close the options menu and enjoy!

**Future Plans**
v2.1 - Make stat selection variable so user can choose between things like
haste, crit, maybe even melee stats or health/mana

v3.0 - First cloneable meter, so you can have multiple stats monitored on
the screen at any given time

Please post any requests/bugs you might have

**Slash Commands**
All configuration is done in the /spg menu however slash commands still exist for power users.

--Toggles auto gauging
/spga

--Sets low value range of spellpower replace x with number
/spgl x

--Sets high value range of spellpower replace x with number
/spgh x

--Shows the addon frame
/spgshow

--Hides the addon frame
/spghide

--Toggle permanent hide or show ability
/spgst

--Locks frame and makes frame click throughable
/spglock

--Unlocks frame and makes it so you can move it where you like
/spgunlock

**Support/Discussion Thread**
Here

**Notes**
Please donate if you like, it encourages me to roll out updates faster!

**Known Issues**
--If you try and set your "low" value to 0 the gauge will reset low to your current SP on next UI Reload

v2.0.2 [list][*] New Update for patch 5.4[*] Replanning milestones and redoing animations for next release.

v2.0.1 [list][*] Fixed an issue with the slider bar for scale not updating properly.

v2.0.0
  • Added in game configuration menu. Removed redundant slash commands but left some in for "power users"
  • Added option to change the scale of the gauge for people with bigger/smaller UI's (Done in config menu)

v1.1.2
  • Added auto gauging. Values of the gauge are automatically updated now, to disable enter in the new command /spga to toggle on or off.

v1.1.1
  • (Oops) Fixed bug where last two points on gauge displayed the same number

v1.1.0
  • Complete overhaul of textures and cleaned up the code a lot.
  • Added state toggling. Locks the gauge's display state from changing

v1.0.1
  • Minor bug fixes

v1.0.0
  • Initial Release

Hi,
first of all, sorry for my english...

I'm looking for a while for an addon like this to see the current spellpower in a graphical way.

First suggestion:
To fit this information in my UI i would prefer to see a multicolored bar with a spark as indicator than a gauge. (Of course this bar has to be fully customizable )

Second suggestion:
Of course the spellpower is the most interesting value to see (for me!). Shadow priests have a additional "bonus shadow power" (e.g. increase the shadow damage by 15% in shadow stance, chance to get additional 28% shadow power), so I suggest to see two indicators in one gauge/bar: spellpower + shadow spell power.
As I think to know (but do not play!) a mage has a kind of similar calculation.

Best to you.
Regards, Mitschel.

If you want I can add that in there for the next release. It should be out in the next week along with the option to track other stats than spell power

Re: Suggestion: Auto Min/Max

May I suggest that you track the highest and lowest the SP goes during combat and adjust the meter's high/low points to meet what is seen there automatically. It would then set appropriately in the first couple fights and going into any future fights it would give a good idea of where you stand in your normal range of SP. This would also give a person the chance to see the highest point, at anytime, that there spellpower has ever been. With this, a reset option, and possibly a locking option would be needed.

Edit: The reason I suggest this tracking occurs only in combat is so it doesn't set itself based on any gear changes out of combat, otherwise a person might end up with a meter that shows 0 SP for it's min if they were naked at any point.
Yes yes yes! Love this, I thought about some similar features when I first planned the mod but forgot about it I suppose, now that the base is done I can def add stuff like this.
