Derevka UI - July 2011 Version

Full details available here: http://talesofapriest.com/derevkas-ui/

Demo of UI is available at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riYliYnuydg

Thanks for downloading this UI pack!

This UI is optimized for 1920x1080 display modes, you may need to make additional edits at other Resolutions. This pack is not a "light" pack, and may require a 'better than average' computer to handle the mods required. Please see the list of AddOns in the addon folder, and AddOn screenshot for a full list of AddOn's used.

::::IMPORTANT READ BEFORE INSTALLING:::
Before installing this pack, you should backup your existing WTF and Interface folders. This way, you can easily revert back if you do not like the version provided here. Further, you will want to back up any character specific Macros you currently use.

Step 1:
Replace your existing WTF and Interface folders with the folders provided in this download.

Step 2:
From there go inside the WTF Folder, then inside the Account folder, and rename the folder titled "ACCOUNT NAME HERE" to be whatever your account name is. (eg. username233)

Step 3:
Open that newly renamed folder.

Step 4:
There should be a folder called "SERVER NAME HERE" rename that to the server you play on. (eg. Lightninghoof).

Step 5:
Open that newly renamed folder.

Step 6:
There should be a folder called "CHARACTER NAME HERE" rename that to the name of the character you want to adopt this UI.
-- optional: if you have multiple characters you want to grant this UI, copy that folder and repeat the renaming process for the other characters.

Step 7:
Log into World of Warcraft

Step 8:
Once you are logged into the game and loaded into your character, hit enter and type the following command:

/reflux switch DerevkaUI

(note this command is CASE sensitive)

You might not see your typing/command line, just continue typing and hit enter when complete.

Your UI should reload, and all settings be switched to the DerevkaUI profile.

Step 9:
Type /dxe config and in the Profiles section change your current profile to DerevkaUI or Default.

Step 10:
Make any final tweaks you might need (Grid and Clique specifically), and enjoy the UI!! To move grid (especially if you operate at a different screen resolution) use the command /grid and then go to layout, and toggle the Frame Lock on/off to move it/resize. (then relock it)

The original inspiration for this UI pack is based off of an earlier version of the lovely, Priestess Bati's. Check her out, too!

I strongly suggest people consider using the Muted Sounds mod along with this configuration. It will mute all non-NPC/Boss/Addon sounds enabling you to hear your audio cues much easier.

IMPORTANT:
This pack includes my Power Aura strings, if you are not comfortable editing Power Auras I suggest visiting the Power Auras page/Wiki. Further, if you do not want to use my Power Aura set up and have one of your own--- BACK UP YOUR EXISTING POWER AURAS. You can easily do this by exporting your sets to a simple .txt file and replacing my sets by Importing your sets back.

FAQ:
What is this big shield in the middle of my screen?
- Power Auras for Inner Fire/Inner Will not being up. If you are NOT a priest you will need to disable this via /powa

What is this big spinning glyph in the middle of my screen?
- Power Auras for an alert that I am in combat but have dropped out of my Chakra state. If you are NOT a holy priest you'll want to disable this via /powa

What Unit Frame do you use?
- STUF. you can edit this via the /stuf command

What Boss Mods do you use?
- DXE, you can edit the details via /dxe config or its toolbar

What are the CD notifications over the Grid?
- Power Auras, accessed via /powa

What is this box that says "No Target"?
- That is Prayer of Mending Tracker; if you are not a priest (or you use another mod/grid to track this) you can disable it or move it via /POM

Updated for 4.3 (December 2011)
Dropped Satrinas Buf Frames for Aura Frames
Slight Modification of Ingelas Rapture Tracker location
Opened space for more of a "hud" for critical spell availability.
Added critical spell CDs dominos bar under player frame.
Added hidden "dps spells" dominos bar with Shift modifiers to trigger.

Configuration

I just downloaded your UI package yesterday because I love the way it looks in the screenshots and I needed a more healer friendly UI. When I got in-game to set it up I typed in /reflux switch DerevkaUI and then it reloaded the UI. However when it was reloaded all the stuff was still in a jumble in its default position. I have no idea how to configure it to get it to look like it does in your screenshots manually and was wondering if you could help me out. Is this because of the addons being updated for MoP or maybe a conflict with my addons that I had previously installed?

Weak Auras?

Flipping through your blog, I (rather quickly) found your UI. Now, I have my own compilation that I have built that suits my needs darn near perfectly, but I rather liked your power auras configuration. Being a lazy SOB, I have never gotten around to actually setting one up myself, despite feeling that they're incredibly helpful.

So I stole yours.*

Or, more accurately, I stole your Weak Auras strings, since random clicking in your blog led me to learning that you switched over to WA. Anyways, I hope you don't mind terribly. Especially since I'm about to ask you for help.

You see, the strings import fine, and they look great.... But it was constantly showing me that cascade is ready. And I don't have that yet. Now I figured out that settig it to never dropped it down into the 'not loaded' section, and that works. But since the mindbender/SF icon is to the left of it, it left a hole - and made the whole thing asymmetrical. So I moved things around a bit to fit in with my all-things-must-be-even mindset.

But somehow, I ended up with an extra CoH icon and I don't know how. It's in the same spot as the original CoH icon was before I moved things around, and it only shows in combat, when CoH is off cooldown.

In case it helps...

That there is a link to my UI, with your WA strings incorporated, showing the extra CoH icon. Ignore the unplaced PoM tracker and non-matchy cast bar...and the random coords by the map. I haven't quiiiite finished cleaning the UI up yet. Light bless new patches.

http://i.imgur.com/kYcSK.jpg

This second link shows most of the loaded modules. I can't make the window go bigger to show the rest, but since they're your strings, the remaining ones are LW and PoM on and off CD, then the unloaded, level 90 talents.

Sorry for being rambly... I get that way when I don't get enough sleep.

*I have no intention whatsoever of taking your WA strings and uploading them anywhere as mine. I have no intention of uploading my UI anywhere, period. It is for personal use only, pinky swear.

I just downloaded and installed your UI. First off it looks fantastic, however it seems that Stuf is'nt working properly. The values dont fill out completely and my Target's name just says NAME. Anyway to fix this?

That's odd to say the least. Never heard nor seen that before. I'd first suggest being sure you've updated all the mods in the collection (a downloaded like the curse downloaded should be able to easily do that). After that I would delete the contents of your Cache folder in the WOW folder. That usually is the source of critical errors not mod related errors. Mod related errors rarely cause critical game errors. So it's likely unrelated to the addon pack.

Regardless the pack will be obsolete next week when 5.0 drops as all addons will likely need full replacement. I'll hopefully have an update for all in a week or so following the release.

Since you mention the muted sounds mod - is there currently some other mod at the latest Derevka UI now muting the sounds at this pack, and am I just too lost to find it?

I have tried to check practically all addons - but cant figure out whitch one could be muting them. If there aint one, I would love to hear some ideas on, how on earth my music track is entirely gone?

It should not mute sounds at all, I only recommend the muted sounds pack. Its probably just a setting in the Sounds Section you are missing. Feel free to email me with a screenshot of your sounds and addon/folder if you get stuck.

WoW lockup

As a Discipline Priest who is just now getting into raiding with this toon, I was thrilled to see such a nice compilation of addons. I liked mine quite alot (LUI combined with a lot of similar, if not the same addons you use) but was eager to try something new and kind of mix and match til I had what worked for me.

However, when I attempt to enter the string "/reflux switch DerevkaUI" the game immediately locks up and stops responding, requiring me to use task manager to end the program.

I downloaded your file, extracted the whole thing to C://program files (86)/world of warcraft and then went in the folder and cut out WTF and Interface and moved them out to the World of Warcraft folder. Then I changed account, realm and character names to reflect my own and loaded the game.

So I am not sure how I could have done something wrong, and would still like a chance to test it out without having to configure everything by hand. I am an addon freak; I love the ones who are useful and I spend a lot of time configuring, so was looking forward to NOT having to spend hours doing that.

Any ideas on what could be wrong and how to correct this? For now, I am just cutting and pasting the files into a separate folder and pasting mine back in.
