World of Enhanced Warcraft ENB  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.1b
by: Rammoth [More]

Please Read The Entire Description

NOTE: The screenshots do not do it justice, you have to see it in game for yourself. Most of the noticable features won't show up in screenshots, I'm not sure why yet.

WHAT IS ENB:
ENBSeries is a graphic modifications project for games. The main idea is to allow every gamer to configure how their game will look with their own style, so every player could share settings with others. Many games may look much better and ENBSeries is the easiest way to improve them.

This particular ENB is a modification of the GTA4 ENB from the main website, the URL is located below.

FEATURES:
1) No game specific tools needed.
2) Small size of the modification.
3) Easy to install and uninstall.
4) No problems with banning in multiplayer games.
5) Easy to share configurations with others.
6) Controlled quality for optimal performance on your hardware.
7) Other graphical modifications can be used together with ENBSeries, with exceptions within common sense and LUA.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY:
If you have low FPS even though your pc should be able to handle it, try SHIFT+F10 which will optimize the features to best support your FPS, after activating the mod using SHIFT+F12. SHIFT+F9 enables or disables the bloom.

FUNCTIONALITY UPDATE:
You can now re-map the keys needed to turn on and off settings, and you can now limit your FPS via the enbseres.ini file.

Under [INPUT] in the "enbseries.ini" file you will find the following:

You can use these lines in the file to change to your desired keys to use. "f12, f11, f10 and f9" are set by default. Just replace with your choice.

//f12
KeyUseEffect=123
//f11
KeyBloom=120
//f10
KeyOcclusion=121
//f9
KeyFPSLimit=36
To set exactly what you want your FPS to be limited to, use the following line under the section [LIMITER]:

Change 60.0 to anything you want, but make sure .0 is after it.

FPSLimit=60.0
If you prefer not to be activating the mod every time you load up World of Warcraft, or re-activate it every time you alt-tab and come back to the game, then use the following:

1) Open up "enbseries.ini" with Notepad or your favorite Text Editor software.
2) Locate the section called [Global], either by skimming or pressing Cntrl+F to search (if using Notepad)
3) You should see a line under the [Global] section as the following:

UseEffect=0
Change it to this:

UseEffect=1
Now you should have it load automatically, no more having to press and hold SHIFT and F12 to activate the mod now. The ability to do that will still be in the main files by default though, because some people might prefer to activate it manually.

If enough people decide they rather not have the manual activation anymore, I will remove it entirely, and update the files.

Thanks to Haleth for the screenshots using the Windows Screen Capture Tool:

-BEFORE-

-AFTER-

INSTALLATION:

1) Extract all of the files from the .ZIP archive into your World of Warcraft Main Directory (where the game launcher is located).

2) Run the game.

3) Press and hold SHIFT and F12, to activate the ENB. *You might want to change your screenshot button to the Print Screen button - by default World of Warcraft is set to use F12 for screenshots*

4) If it didn't activate, make sure DX9 is set (not DX11), close the client, reopen the launcher and try again.

ISSUES:
This ENB does not currently work with DirectX 11, or the 64bit Client of World of Warcraft.

Use only with 32bit client and DirectX9 (changed in the in game options settings) for now, until I've updated this.

FUTURE:

If you're experienced with coding, contact me.

If you're experienced with making great videos on Youtube, please contact me. I am looking to make a Youtube video showcasing this mod.

Recommendations:
I recommend you use a clean user interface addon for World of Warcraft, with this ENB. For example, my favorite UI: Free UI - http://www.wowinterface.com/download...92-FreeUI.html

FINAL NOTE:

This is a continuous project. I will work on it until I cannot anymore, and when that time comes, I will give permission to the community to handle it.

Worried about getting banned?

ENB is a graphic enhancement mod, not a graphic alteration mod and it's not a software, there for, it is not going to get you banned, read this:
Jay Wilson, Blizzard Entertainment Game Director: TOS against mods is so we can ban cheaters. I agree DarkD3 is not a cheat...yet. As long as it is not a cheat, no ban is likely.
SOURCE: https://twitter.com/angryrobotics/st...26183740686336

NOTE: It does speak of DarkD3 for Diablo III, however ENB is similar in some ways, so it seems fitting.

Disable DX11, it needs to be set to DX9.

I've noticed it doesn't load properly sometimes. First, make sure you have the game set to fullscreen. I've tried windowed fullscreen, and it will not work. Has to be fullscreen. Second, when you load up WoW if it isn't there alt tab out, then back in. It should load. Also, I don't know how much the msaa has to do with it, I play with mine set to 4 and enb still works. If you can get it to load, and you want to play around with AA or anything else that causes the game to force-refresh you will have to ctrl alt del to force the game to tab out, then you can tab back in to reload ENB without restarting the game. Happens to me all the time.

Nice. I just discovered enb series and have spent the better part of several days configuring it, switching back to yours, reconfiguring, switching back, making minor adjustments and major adjustments. I've made some pretty huge changes to mine to better fit my monitor and gamma settings, and to lighten day time and lower saturation a little bit.

Would you mind if I uploaded my enb profile? Thought I would ask since I've blatantly copied most of your color correction settings.

I'm playing at the same resolution right now and it works alright for me. The problem is probably the UI scale, I use RealUI so the fonts scale decently enough that they are readable at a smaller scale and with the blurring effects from bloom and FXAA. Changing your fonts might help.

One thing to add and I may just have completely missed it in the description but in order to get the FXAA injector to work, in game MSAA(multisampling) must be set to x1 otherwise the secondary .DLL will not activate. ENB will work fine with any MSAA setting but FXASinj will not.

This mod actually works, but if you put the game in fullscreen mode and lower the gamma setting to the bottom then you actually get a nicer DX11 graphics with a darker look.

Ah yes, I forgot to revamp the installation process on the main page. This is my first mod, forgive me lol

I am going to alter it some. I'm aware that it's darker than it should be, that's cause of the sharpening tool and the value I have some other things set to. I have had it just right before, but once I added the sharpening tool it over did it.

You are also welcome to create your own version of this, and release it as a patch to this mod, if you create one that looks different than I have here.

As for screenshots, I haven't figured out how to take screenshots with ENB yet, and I haven't tried the tool that Haleth used to take one. I will see what I can do. If I can manage to take them in full screen with it, without the window edges on it, it'd be great.

Here we meet again Rammoth

On front page you say "Extract the "enbseries.ini" and "d3d9.dll" files into your World of Warcraft Main Directory" and that makes it sound like only specific files to go there. When all the files should go there. Can confuse people.

Pitty i am stuck on my UI cause it is to Dark for my Setup.
Not sure if thats adjustable or not to have the Dark taint reduced.
But the thing is since i use a Dark UI question is how much better it would get so my UI still looks good.

But this Tool should have a bright Future....I hope it does cause it does look good.

Here is how it looked with my UI:

And here it was off:

Thank you for the update. However, I cannot get it work at all. Used 32bit client and DX9. Tried various combinations of the 64bit and DX11 also.
