OmniCC Beta  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.1.0-beta1
by: Tuller [More]

This is the beta version of OmniCC. Odds are, there will be bugs
The latest stable version of OmniCC can be found here.

Confused? Check the Wiki!

Changes since Waffles

  • Extracted the timer scheduling code from the timer code.
  • Created two scheduling engines for the timer: One based on the Animation system, and one based on the classic OnUpdate methods, with the animation system used by default. If you're experiencing crashes when using OmniCC, try switching to the OnUpdate engine.
  • To switch to the OnUpdate engine, use
    Code:
    /omnicc setengine classic
  • To switch back to the Animation engine, use
    Code:
    /omnicc setengine animation

GitHub:

OmniCC development has moved from GogleCode to GitHub. The intention is to make it easier for people to fork/contribute to OmniCC development (and also for me to learn about git). Writing code for me typically gets your request implemented faster than asking me to write it myself :P

Submitting bugs & feature requests:

In order of preference, here's where you should submit bug reports and feature requests:
  1. GitHub
  2. Here on WoWI
I read/have RSS feeds for everywhere, so don't think too much about it

some missing options

For one please add the option to turn off .1 decimal place counting. I for one would rather just see full second intervals.

OmniCC 3 doesn't seem to work with SUF anymore. SUF doesn't show any timers of my casted debuffs. With OmniCC 2.5.9 everything works like a charm.

Greets Sila.

@Morpheusdead:
That's been feature request #1 so far

@Silaqui:
Try playing with the minimum font size to display text slider.

Currently this uses ~twice as much CPU as the old version, monitored with OptionHouse (~20CPU/sec vs 9). Tested with having a few abilities on CD on dummies in IF.

I would like to request options for color settings. I've always customized mine due to partial color blindness.

Color selection/mm:ss/tenths of seconds display:
I'm not sure how exactly I want to handle it this time around. I may do color pickers/checkboxes again (easier for users to tweak, but more limited), I may add in the ability to just swap out the GetFormattedText function with different versions (harder for users to create, but more powerful).

@Tomacco_Boy:
This will hopefully be fixed in beta4.

Yes, it was rather disconcerting not to see the seconds indicator on timers until the 1 minute threshold had passed in Beta2.

Nice that you increased it to 90 seconds in Beta3. But would really (really) prefer the seconds indicator to appear at 2 minutes, as it was in v2.5.9. Or better...whichever function you end up deciding to use as you mentioned...have it user-selectable outside of the SV file. 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes or whatever (on a slider up to say 30 or 60 minutes).

Could you give me a use case where it would be beneficial to know information at that level of detail? I'm not trying to discount you here, but its just one of those things where I'm wondering why people need to know information at the second level for a cooldown that is way off
