ColdUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.3
by: Coldkil [More]

As everyone has realized now, i have stopped working on the UI basically because i have stopped playing WoW altogether.

I feel sorry to not have written here before, there is a lot of people that has shown a lot of support on my work and i didn't thank you enough for that.

I had a lot of fun playing with the UI and following your feedback to improve my work.

I hope that something in the future (maybe another game) will let me do another work similar to this, as it's been by far my best WoW experience during my play time.

See you on next journey and projects.

All-in-one UI pack, working for every resolution, just try it and keep it if you like it! Mess with the code, but i don't support any edit.

Features:
- healer layout available: just set the option to true and /reload ui
- you can enable/disable pretty much any plugin
- extended focus frame available, with portrait and castbar
- datatext can be enabled/disabled too, and background panel can be toggled on/off
- change textures/fonts as you please
- you can setup your personal layout, and if you mess with thing, reset everything

SLASH COMMANDS:
/ch will make appear the help - everything is there
/align brings out a grid, very useful to move things around

Other options can be found in the relative addon config.lua file (or in game if it's provided).

AURORA:
i use an edited version of this addon to match all the Blizzard frames with the ones i designed. In game you should disable all options but the map reskin and the "replace normal game fonts" one.

ACTIONBARS:
just open config.lua in ColdBars addon, it's everything there. There are the same options as before plus some additional functionalities like vertical bars and the possibility to costantly hide pet/stance bar.
Button skin is embedded into the bars addon.
NOW PLUS MOUSEOVER!

About screenshots: they may show MSBT and an aura tracker addon, they aren't included in the package. Sorry, i still havent updated them, hope to do it asap.

CREDITS:
All credits go to respective addon authors.
Thanks to haste, for creating oUF.
Thanks to Caellian, since i've learned destroying you awesome layout.
Thanks to Tukz, i've taken some features from your incredible work.
Thanks to WoWInterface, MMO-Champion and WoWHead for their communities which have helped me a lot.
Bags are a stripped down and reduced to the bone version of Stuffing.
Cooldowns are a "same of above" version of OmniCC.
Runebar is a "same of above" edit if nibRunes.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Make a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, then move/delete them from WoW directory.
- Unzip the archive.
- Put the folders in the ZIP archive into you Interface/Addons folder.
That's it!

ADDONS LIST:
- alDamageMeter

- oUF_Coldkil
- cError
- ColdBars
- ColdPlates (a very very heavy rDiabloNameplates edit)
- ColdBags

Question Action Bar Help

I love this Ui. Is there a way I can show the main bar grid?

Just uploaded the new, shiny, polished, multiple-checked package. Just let WoWI to make it available and everyone should be pleased

Some other news: i just finihsed to code a minimal raidmanager frame since it was something i felt missing in the interface. I have to test it tonight, so i can check if its working and good-looking. Very likely to add it as an Optional addon before 5.4 hits, when i'll make it part of the standard package.

EDIT: Available for download now

i think the files are corrupt - i just zipped my files (which are clearly working on my client). In fact i was worried since the ZIP size is only 286k, while 5.2.1 war 1MB.

Checking, and sorry for the issue.

EDIT: the base files are corrupted (opened them via notepad++ and got only a string of "NUL" characters). I need to wait until this afternoon so i can get back home and redo the package. textures and such are also fu**** up bad.

Sorry again, definitiely not expected this. Just stick on the 5.2.1 package, not optimal but still working.

Oups, almost forgot; any way to move the raid frames? Remember, i'm kinda dense ^^
For the raid frames, just type /fm to unlock all the farmes and drag them around. When you're done, type /fl to lock them in place. Also you can use /fr to reset position to default (based on layout) if you think you've messed up something

As for the chat, you'll need editing the lua file in the path oUF_Coldkil\chat\chat.lua (just open it with any text editor, i recommend notepad++) - at line 244 you can set any font you desire (just remeber to add it in the addon).

Well, I'm also very used to RoguePowerBars, wich I'll add to track several things (but if you, or anyone has a similar addon, maybe even better, I'm open for new thing to try out).

Only question I have, wich I can't find any command for is how to move the aiDamage meter. Tried with Shift like it states from the original but it won't work. Any idea why, or how to move it?

Thanks in advanced, not only for the ui but the great job on the MMO-Champ forums ^^
I tend to leave aura trackers and such alone - everyone has different tastes and requirements about that, so i decided to let everyone to use everythiong they prefer.

As for the damage meter, try to do dps on a dummy, then shift-drag with the mouse just unter the dps bar. That is the true frame, clicking on the dps bars won't move anything :P

5.3 version is ready for the upload. I'm making some minor tweaks to avoid bad things, but here's a screenshot.

Castbar text is green if kickable, Red if not.

EDIT: before i upload, give me some opinions about the nameplates text - i feel it's someway cluttered, but at the same time i don't have much ideas about it :P

Heh, i've to find the new regions that this patch has brought - actually the addon is working perfcetly, just they have changed a couple of things that my addon just ignores, so the defalut ones are displayed.

EDIT: better put, i actually don't remeber (since i don't use standard nameplates from like forever) when and if standard nameplates displayed the name of the casted spells. Can it be a new feature added with 5.3? I really don't know

EDIT2: the Aurora part is ok already, it took like 5 minutes to fix. Also working to fix the annoying thing with actionbars when creating a new char - so the bars are all hidden by default. I should have fixed that before, but hey, better late than never.

EDIT3: managed to identify the two new things about nameplates - i thought it was more complicated, i'll get home in an hour and do the fix.
