Shadow & Light is an external edit of ElvUI, which means it doesn't change ElvUI's files directly.
What does this mean to you?
It means that any time ElvUI gets updated, you will not have to worry about it overwriting our edited version of ElvUI. It also means if we push an update it will not mess with any ElvUI files. This addon can not be used without ElvUI installed and enabled.

Originally this project started as two personal edits of ElvUI by Darth Predator and I (Repooc). For technical support reasons and other reasons as well, we have moved to a combined effort on this external edit of the ElvUI. Shadow & Light does not disable or hinder the normal function of ElvUI but does add additional features that are not yet implemented or will not be added to ElvUI.
You'll find Shadow & Light options under it's own configuration category in ElvUI's config section by typing /ec

It is important that you do that so we can narrow down what is causing the problem in the first place.

Fixes:
- Allied races' crests are now shown in afk screen. No more green squares of doom.
Misc:
- Merchant skin augmentations now should account for latest API changes.

Additions:
- Added an option to set a quest log state based on being in combat
- Added an option for dead indicator for party/raid/raid40 frames
- Enhanced shadows are now supporting minimap (with data panels if enabled) and chat panels
- Movable frames can now remember positions. Character based.

- Fixed errors on removing gold data for character

The past few days I have been getting this error message. I think they came after updating ElvUI to 4.62, but I'm not 100% sure

Health Bar

Just have a quick question. I would like to have the full amount showing of health (from 130k to show like 130,245 for instance). I saw this in one of your pictures on the website (curse) and that is the main feature why I downloaded this addon. Any help is appreciated as I cannot figure out what I am missing to be able to do this.

Add ":sl" to the end of your health format tag. For example: [health:current] -> [health:current:sl] or [health:current-max] -> [health:current-max:sl]
Same for power.

Also your answer was right in the description

Elvui updates

Hello I start to use Elvui 3 months ago. After I start to use this addon I change/move a lot of settings , bars, etc to fit my needs. Every time new update come up for Elvui all my settings are reset and i must start again configure things. Can I keep my configuration when an new version of this addon is up? Maybe there is a post which explain this process, so i can keep my configuration from one update to anouther but i can't find it. please help me, because now I must update the addon and don't want to start again config my UI.

We keep the settings in the same file and tables as ElvUI itself. So there is no way to keep settings for S&L if ElvUI's are reset.
Also updating ElvUI shouldn't reset anything as far as I know. The last data reset was in v5.00 of ElvUI like 2 months ago. No more resets since then.
Can you try to launch only ElvUI vafter the next update (v5.2 was released today) and see if settings were reset?

This plugin for elvui does not have elvui inside the file. You must download it from tukui.org. this had already been stated by Elvis. Plugin authors are allowed to upload their work. As long as elvui is not uploaded.

great job guys!

I hope your collaboration with Affiniti will bear many more fruits in the future. An update to the filters would be nice!

Also, may I suggest including a mana bar setup in the weakaura exports/imports? IMO the manabar in the unitframes is sometimes hard to read, specially in the heat of battle. Perhaps under the weakaura class cooldown would be a nice space.

We will be updating the filters he has given me an updated list today. I do not have a mana bar setup for weakauras, if you have a good one u would like me to look at, export it to a string and I will import it to test and see how it looks and may consider that for you.

You did not install correctly. Folder structure for S&L should be like
World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\ElvUI_SLE\ make sure you dont have another ElvUI_SLE folder inside that. if u cant install addons by hand use curse client or tukui client
