LootList

Version: 1.3.2
by: Mackenz [More]

Synopsis
LootList allows the player to build loot/gear lists. Each list can have up to three sets of metrics that can be assigned to each item, including optional integration with Pawn scales. Finally, LootList provides optional notifcation (message and/or sound) when it detects a loot/gear item. For more information see the FAQ that is at the end of ##readme.htm## in the LootList download.

Features

  • A note can be maintained for each item in a list.
  • Items can be 'checked off' as won/obsolete while viewing a list, preventing subsequent detection of the item. No more editing lists to remove items you won.
  • Item lists can now be imported using the WoW item id, or the URL formats for items on Allakhazam, the Armory, Thottbot and Wowhead.
  • Lists can now be exported using the item id format.
  • Any number of lists, within which you can order the loot/gear according to say importance.
  • A list can have up to three metrics, which can represent some measurement of the item. By default, the only metric is Manual.
  • A metric consists of a base value, a 'proc' value (for example a proc on a weapon), and a total value.
  • Optional integration with Pawn. A visible Pawn scale can be assigned to each metric. By default, LootList will use the calculated Pawn value for that metric's base value.
  • Override any metric's base value, including Pawn values.
  • Manual entry of a metric's proc value.
  • An active metric can be made to appear blank, along with color coding to represent a Pawn value (green), a Pawn value override (red), or Manual value (blue). A grey value indicates an error occured with the Pawn value calculation.
  • Options to provide message and/or sound notification when LootList detects a loot/gear item in a group loot roll window, a loot window, chat from the Master Looter, party/raid leader chat, and/or raid warning chat.
  • Export loot/gear lists in plain text, Blizzard link format text, HTML list or BBC list.

Bug Reporting
Please use a good error catcher like Bugsack, and provide the entire error text with as much information on how to recreate the problem. Report the problem via the CurseForge ticket system to ease tracking.

Slash Commands
  • /ll - toggle display of LootList window
  • /ll show - show the main LootList window</li>
  • /ll hide - hide the main LootList window</li>
  • /ll resetui - reset the position of LootList windows

Language Support
LootList should be able to work in any language, though the prompts and messages are in English. If you would like to contribute a translation for this addon, let me know via private message on this site. You will be given credit for the translation.

Installation
Unzip into <WoW Directory>\Interface\Addons.

User Interface
The user interface is used to perform all functions, and call be toggled (shown/hidden) through two methods:
  1. Using the command line via the /lootlist or /ll command;
  2. Using the minimap button that can be used to toggle the user interface;

To reset the window positions if they are dragged offscreen, use the command line ##/ll resetui## to reset their positions.

The user interface can be moved anywhere on the screen via dragging the LootList window.

Hey there. Once you add the item, do you press the Save button to the right of the list name?

If you do, then that is very weird. The data is saved per character - could something be removing the saved variable file? You could test that by changing one of the options and see if it too doesn't save.

LOL. You only have to hit Save when you are finished editing the whole list. Let me know how it goes .

Does LootList auto-roll?

Is this an in-game upgrade list with audio cue or does it automatically roll need on items added to the list?

Any chance of making an import function that can import several lists at once? Something like this maybe:

#<list name>
<item_number>, <name>, <comment>
etc
#<list name>
<item_number>, <name>, <comment>
etc

It is probably not going to be a very high priority. List creation/import is not especially onerous now (given you only make half a dozen lists).

Which tool/web site are you using to create the lists you want to import?

I made a PowerShell script that pulls the relevant info out of the EJ DK forums.

Oh, and could you please move the "Won" column to the far left of the window, near the note column? <3

Interesting - are you using the note to record the won date?

I'm using the note to record where the item drops, and I clear it if I've won the item (it's much easier to see the note icon colour at-a-glance than the Won-tick on the other side of the window for me.)

4.2 and taint :(

Getting lots of taint from LootList on the default raidframes after 4.2 (using latest version at the time of posting: v1.2.3)
<snipped taint.log>
No other addon is mentioned in taint.log so it's unlikely something else started the taint chain and LL is just getting caught in it.

I'll edit the log entries out as soon as you got it (sorry for posting them in comment, bug tracker is not enabled)
