Installation Instructions:

1. Extract the contents of the PALLYUI file to your desktop.

2. Back up your existing Interface and WTF folders by either by dragging them from the World of Warcraft directory to your desktop, or by renaming them, ie: WTF-backup.
The World of Warcraft folder is located here:
PC: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
Mac: macintosh HD/Applications/World of Warcraft

* * * This step is extremely important should you decide to revert to your old settings. It may also be necessary to restore your old macro files from your WTF folder, so be sure you SAVE BACKUPS OF YOUR WTF AND INTERFACE FOLDERS. * * *

3. Drag the contents of the PALLYUI folder into your WoW directory. There are 2 files: Interface and WTF.

4. Open up the WTF folder and drill down through the folders, renaming the following directories to match your account name, server name and character's name:
YOURACCOUNTNAME
YOURSERVER
YOURCHARACTERNAME

* * * If you want to restore your in-game settings, ie: audio & video settings, camera, mouse settings, etc... then copy the Config.wtf from your WTF-backup and paste it into your new WTF root folder. Repeat this step for your macros-cache files if necessary. * * *

5. Check to see that all of the included addons are up-to-date with the latest versions.

6. Log in to your WoW account.

7. At the character screen, click the AddOns button on the bottom left to go to the AddOns screen. On the AddOns page, check "Load out of date AddOns".

8. Log in with your character.

9. type in /reflux switch PALLYUI (this is case sensitive)

This really isn't minimal, in any sense of the word. The combat text is the main offender, but the entire bottom portion of the screen can be cleaned up too. You don't need in-combat damage meters, you don't need action bars (if you're watching cooldowns, just use TellMeWhen, or Power Auras), you don't need a focus target frame, you don't need all of your target's debuffs, your unit frames could be smaller and closer together, and you don't need so much text on all your frames (particularly the raid frames, but also your buff icons).

It's not a bad UI, but it definitely isn't minimal, as you claim.

First of all, thank you for your input. I have decreased the size of the folder by a good chunk as i found that all the basic wow images were in this directory, also I had around 100 different tga files of artwork for kgpanels included. I have removed all but the one that is in the active layout for kgpanels. File size is still big, but not quite as bulky as before. I hope this helps out. I'm new to this and trying to figure out everything as I go.

Ok. Lets start with the good.

Good effort on your part.

Now the bad.

62mbs compressed. Thats awefully big and even awefully bigger uncompressed.

The design is too much. Scale it back. I guess your definition of Minimalistic is different from mine.

Im sorry, but it seems as though everyone is putting addons together and calling it a UI. There should be a new listing here on WoWI, Addon-packages or something like that becuase thats what this and most every other "UI" is.

Minimalistic is derived from Minimal

minimal [ˈmɪnɪməl]
adj
of the least possible; minimum or smallest
minimally adv
