AddOn Chat-Message-Hider

is this ever going to be needed to be updated?

Me three. I've got around this by turning it off, creating my windows and turning it back on. It doesn't interfere with new whisper windows from what I've seen.

Yes i too today finally figured out that this addon was what was preventing me from creating new tabs, which is a pain, cos i'm a tabaholic (but i HATE all those pesky addon messages).

Any word on this getting fixed?

Found another minor bug, while enabled the addon blocks the option to Create New Window in the default chat UI, you can bring up the window to name the new chat window but cannot accept. Using the rightclick option to move channels in the main chat window to new windows also failed. Tested it on a new alt with all addons disabled and still had this behavior.

Just a thought... most ppl can open .zip files but some have issues with .rar. If I were you I'd consider changing the format. But if you dont or to those who wish to DL this now, I can highly recommend getting 7-zip File Manager to open this. It's free and isnt full of spyware.

yeap those bugs seem to be ironed and squashed... but... another one reared its ugly face. Guild Message of the Day gets filtered out as well along with the other addon chat messages

Other than that no problems so far

Great Add-on this is what I was looking for since StopTheSpam (another add-on of its kind, more like the only other add-on of its kind) had... stopped working (rather it did work with a TOC update, but a few add-on message spam managed to sneak past).

A few problems I see so far:

1) The description/options are slightly out of the default Add-On Options frame (screenie inc.)



2) When you tick the "Hide every message from add-ons" option EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING gets hidden... Nothing, zip, zero, nada... You can't see a thing not even normal guild chat, trade spam etc. While this might be a good thing to have on some respects, I don't think this is what was intended.

3) When you load your toon, the chat channels don't display as they should. They do however when you change between zones (I'm using Prat btw, maybe those two add-ons don't get along fine?)

4) (This is called nitpicking but… meh) There is a slight spelling mistake in the description. The word "seconds" is incorrectly spelled "secounds"
