ReadyCheckAnnouncer  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 36
by: mikk [More]

Small addon to make readychecking easier:

- Echo readycheck results to party/raid: Who's AFK, Who's not ready.

- Display timer bar while readychecks are running (even when someone else initiates them)

- Add "/rc" as an alias for "/readycheck"

New in r36:

- Ignore "standby" people in raid groups (g3+ for raid size 6-18, g6+ for raid size 19-34)

- Raid officers running ReadyCheckAnnouncer will help announce even if they are not the ones initiating the readycheck. (Can be disabled with "/rc off")

1.00-30000:
- Fix tainting issue when using the "/rc" alias

1.00-30000.2:
- Xinhuan spotted another taint. Plugged that too. Possibly harmless but meh.

This occurred during a readycheck and the AFK person was booted from the raid in the middle of it before the readycheck ended.

I tested this last night in ICC. We had a standby person in Group 8 that was offline and every ready check, it would announce that person as being AFK. (Actually, if it could say "offline" instead of "AFK", that would be even better!)

On a positive note, we didn't have to wait for the timer to run out like in the previous version.

Edit: Using r36-release

In WoW 3.3 live, this displays its timer bar fine. However, in a raid, it fails to announce the results of a ready check after the timer expires in raid chat if you are a raid assistant. I assume its not going to announce in party chat either due to the 3.3 changes (haven't tested that scenario yet).

This problem was not present in 3.2 & earlier; raid assistants could announce the results in raid chat without issue.

Feature Request: Disconnected/Offline players

Feature request: distinguish Disconnected/Offline players from AFK players and Not Ready players in the final announcement.

Odd. The ONLY thing I can think of to cause that is the /rc alias. Does it happen if you type out /readycheck ?

EDIT: Confirmed. _IF_ you are in combat, and _IF_ you use the "/rc" shortcut, you get errors. I'll see if I can work around that.

EDIT 2: Fixed it. I have no idea why the previous versions taints, and neither has anyone I've spoken to. But it's fixed.

A fantastic addon I've relied on for a long time. But in Wow 3.0.2, it has large tainting issues.

r54637 (from WowAce), disembedded (updated) libs, WoW 3.0.2 live, USEng server/client. Last raid used in, ended up with a 1.1 MB taint.log file (have recording of taint enabled). Example output from it:

and on and on. Every single ready check in the raid produced taint errors like the above. This never occurred in WoW 2.4.3 & earlier. The mod's functionality appeared to be fine, just the tainting is an issue.

OOPS! IgnoreMore zip was here

I made a slight booboo updating ReadyCheckAnnouncer for 2.3 and uploaded IgnoreMore's zip instead. For those that didn't notice and accidentally installed IgnoreMore: I hope you like it
