Background
Designed to give visual or audible cues to the user in response to in-game events, such as gaining buffs or debuffs. Types of cues range from simple texture displays to stack counters, timers to timer bars, and are fully user-configurable. Can be animated or have sounds attached as well.

Reporting Issues
Go to the CurseForge site and Submit a Ticket. Please do not suggest features via the ticket system, and instead use our UserVoice forum.
If you do submit a ticket, we will reply if more information is requested. If no additional information is given in response, we will mark the ticket as Invalid. Feature suggestions are immediately marked invalid.
Feature Requests
There is a UserVoice forum for adding and discussing new features. Submit all feature requests here, but please do not duplicate requests. Duplicates will be exterminated. Painfully.

We're always looking for a helping hand. You don't need to be an expert coder to help us out, we've plenty of things that need people to oversee. Of course, knowing code has some benefits - ever wanted to get a feature implemented? Maybe fix a pesky bug that we said we'd fix two months ago? Now's your chance!

Hi,
nice to see what the AddOn is going to continued. I don't found it on curse so i was thinking it was not updated somewhere. Canceled the projekt on curse now. To direct the people better to one Projekt. I was just working on an aura what displays the health or mana values. When u want it i can give u the code for this aura. When i finished testing. I tried to contact you on Curse after my last comment to see if you might be interested in co-authorship or another way to work on the project together. I'm not particularly fond of Curse in its current incarnation but I could mirror the files there to make it easier on users that prefer that site. Regarding mana/health values and other features, they're included in this version. A short list of features added since your last version (the things you'd added yourself are already in) - Hiding Auras with rest of interface (Alt+z) for bosskill screenshots. - New default textures can be added easily by dropping sequentially named Auraxx.tga files in the PowerAuras\Auras\ folder and restarting the game. - Option to use the ability/spell/item texture instead of .tga file where available. - Aggro status added to triggers. - PvP flag added to triggers. - 30 more textures + some sounds. - Custom texture editbox can now accept SpellName (if your own spell) or SpellID and display the respective game texture. (these can be found on wowhead for example) - Rage/Energy trigger implemented with upper thresholds. (aura will display if your rage or energy is > percent you chose) - Custom timer enabled for action usable. It overrides the calculated timers if used. (this is to support timers for abilities like Victory Rush that "become available" for a limited time when something else happens: eg. killing blow but don't have a duration like a normal buff/debuff) - Stance options for Druid and Rogue(stealth) added (mainly for those that play in 1st person) and improved stance detection for lower levels. as well as a bunch of old and new bugfixes. Things I have on my todo list (no specific time limit though) - 2-3 more trigger categories (threat will be one of them in wow 3.0) - Some more visual effects. - Option to combine checks (display Aura#1 if trigger1 AND trigger2 both true etc) Like I said if you would like to work on the project together I'd have no problem with that obviously. Localization help is also much appreciated. |

Hmm this must have then a new frame, there u can add only the events. One for every line and then u can select the operand(or,and,ornot,andnot) between the lines. The configframe needs a update, too. For shrunking the editor. I thought of a aura selector frame with little thumbnails, that popups then u click "Select aura". Then u don't need a slider for that. Sounds nice or? So many ideas and work, but so less time. |

With respect to #5, when configured correctly, your mod runs rings around many of these other boss mods in certain areas. While DBM and BigWigs are great for telling me when Lurker's going to dive or when Phase 2 of the Illidan fight has started, they're seriously lacking in unique and configurable visual and audio cues. When /rw's are constantly auto-spammed out by the raid leader running one of these mods and everything is displayed on similar looking timer bars...it gets rather cumbersome. And since they have to be constantly updated, modding the mods themselves after every update can be a very daunting and time-consuming task. Spell alert mods and boss mods that I have found and tried just don't have the flexibility your mod does. I can choose a unique sound and put a big honking icon in the middle of the screen when the Essence of Desire puts up a rune shield to tell me "PURGE THIS NOW!" instead of trying to scan for a specific line of text in a sea of text messages or a tiny icon on the mob's frame all while I'm trying to raid heal. I think it would be very helpful, for example, if I could set it up so it can show an icon when "Spirit Shock" is being cast but not when Deaden is being cast...so I don't have to focus all of my attention to the text on the casting bars (I'm losing those lightning quick reflexes I once had in my teen years). With #7, I was simply looking for an alternative to always using a texture. "IMMUNE: PHYSICAL" can be more telling than a shield icon, but I can always whip up my own textures. I was hoping for an easier way. |

Pets?
Love the addon. So far the onlything I've tried to do.. and couldn't..
For my hunter, I want an aura if my pet's health is below 75%. (reminder to Mend Pet). Even by adding my pet's name I can't get it to trigger. For my warlock, I want an aura if my pet's mana is at 100% while we're in combat. (reminder to Dark Pact). Thanks! |

Warlock Nightfall?
Hi - I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious but how do I get this mod to fire when the warlock talent, Nightfall, goes off?

Mouse over it to see its name. Then make a new aura, select your preferred graphic on top half of aura editor, select from the dropdown "Buff", type the name of the buff (or the partial name), select "ignore uppercase" if you don't want to type it with proper caps, leave the next of the options as is (especially make sure none of the target, focus, raid or party checkboxes are checked). |

Thanks for the info, Dridzt, that helped. Also I figured out that even though the talent is called Nightfall, the buff it casts is called Shadow Trance so once I plugged that in, it worked like a charm.

I have pet support in my working copy through the "UnitName" field.
When the user inputs "pet" as name there. I'm contemplating adding an extra checkbox "pet" instead, but I don't see a good reason for it plus the editor is becoming a bit cluttered already, the less checkboxes the better. Kawolski made some reasonable arguments about requested features so there's a good chance most of that list will make it into the addon at some point. Garstiger was kind enough to submit a sizable patch for making "Text Auras" possible (Kawolski item #7) but it is not release ready (there's issues with timers, some animations, editing of existing auras and changing their type, among other things). Still, it is coming along nicely and it will be in one of next versions. At the moment any new features are more likely to appear in the WotLK version first, and then backported to the Live version (maybe :P). I'd really not want to duplicate the amount of work for a version that is destined for the recycle bin in a month or two (when patch 3.0 hits)

Having problems with different chars. My warlock have some auras when different things happen. Everything works fine. When I'm on with one of my other chars, the same auras will be there. Maybe I didn't realize exactly how PowerAuras work with different profiles.
If someone knows I would be thankful for some help. |

you'll see on the left 2 sections: - Character effects on top. - Global effects below. Creating auras while having selected the Character effects section, keeps them for the character. Making auras while having selected the Global effects section enables them for all toons.

For the hunter pet you want: - a Health threshold trigger set at 75%. - check UnitName checkbox and input "pet". For the warlock pet: - a Mana threshold trigger set at 99 or 100% - checking the "inverse" checkbox next to slider (this will make it so the threshold becomes a "high" threshold instead of the default for mana warnings which is "low") - check UnitName checkbox and input "pet". (same as above)

Hiya,
I seem to be getting an issue with weapon buffs, only the Off hand weapon tho - main hand works absolutely fine. Cant figure out whats wrong - after hours of attempts i thought it's about time i posted here I'm a shaman, and want and aura shown for when my Windfury is out. So far i've managed to get the main hand aura working with no issues at all and was real easy to set up but the off hand just doesnt want to work. setup by setting as weapon buff and using the weapon's name. using main, off, or both as the tooltip says has no effect whatsoever even on main hand, atho the debug message seems to recognise the buff as actve, nothing actually changes. Doesnt matter what weapon i use - even if i have the same weapon in both hands, main hand aura is fine, off hand isnt :/ Any suggestions?
