Item Sets  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: r1122
by: Shadowed [More]

Item profile mod, lets you choose a list of items that should be equipped for that profile that you can then equip quickly, for example you can build a tank set called "Tank" and then equip it using /itemsets equip Tank, or a DPS set that you can equip with /itemsets equip DPS. Handles unique and prismatic gems correctly, so if both sets have 3 Dragon's Eyes in them you won't get errors about too many gems. Also includes a push option (/itemsets push <name>) that pushes all items of that set from your inventory into your bank, and a pull option (/itemsets pull <name>) that pulls items from that set into your inventory.

This is meant as a basic item profile mod, if you want things like events for equipping then you should look at other mods like ItemRack, speaking of which thanks Gello for some of the ideas in ItemRack that I stole!

Slash command: /itemsets (/is)

Broker: For a broker widget, see http://wowinterface.com/downloads/info12234-BrokerItemSets.html

For bug reports or feature suggestions
From now on I will be using the portal WoWI provides for bug reports, as it is much easier for me to manage with a lot of addons and limited time. You can find a link below the download button, or at http://www.wowinterface.com/portal.php?id=269

Item Sets

Very neat shadowd. Two requests only which shouldn't bloat it,

1. Ability to copy currently equipped items into a new set. (Would let you use the standard character sheet and be able to see live stats whilst building the set then just dump the result into a new set.)

2. Data broker support for the sets.

1) Hrm... I'll set it up, so by default if you have no set selected it copies your inventory, if you create a new set with another one selected it copies that.

2) I'll look into that, but can you give an example as to the practical use for that? I at least find that it's fairly obvious what kind of armor you're in, so a widget showing which doesn't seem that useful.

2. Not only to show it :P, also to select the set. I know typing /is equip <whatever> isn't exactly difficult but a simple status/set selection would be handy. Actually sometimes it isn't obvious what you are wearing if your cloak is on and the set is just changing out chest or w/e for frost resist, a widget gives you quick visual feedback.

I'll look into that after I push this version, it probably wouldn't be included thought and likely some sort of separate plugin.

I have been using a tiny addon called salerack, which uses slash commands to operate. It's pretty much the same as your addon except that it doesnt provide any gui like yors does.

Since i like the pop out bars on itemslots provided for the character sheet from itemRack but not the bloat...I tried out your addon.

But it seems i am having several problems. One is that the window provided by "/is ui" doesnt seem to show any of the items that i select from the pop out bars...the bars themselves show them and clicking on the items in those bars actually equips that item rather than placing it in the profile setup.

Go to Interface -> Help -> Check "Display Lua Errors" and try again.

I tried setting duplicating all the issues you described and I can't get any of them to happen.

First of all, nice addon - happy to try it out. I just have one small issue.

I've made two sets, one called "PvE" with all my Holy gear (I'm a Paladin) and one called "Ret" for, well, my Retribution gear. In the Holy set I use a 1-hander and a Shield, and in the Ret set I use a 2H.

When I wearing my Holy gear and try to switch to my Ret gear, it won't swap the weapons. Instead I get a message saying "No equipment slot is available for that item".

If I take off my shield prior to running '/is equip Ret' it works just fine.

Grab the latest version, and double check both profiles, for your Retribution set you should have your 2H and then an empty (But enabled) OH.

Ahh. Had the latest version but had the OH disabled.

Thanks, sorry for reporting a non-issue.

Nice job !
As Ashamam said, a data broker support would be the icing on the cake.

Aye, LDB support would be cool, too.

oGlow support won't be added, LDB support will be added whenever WoWI approves it, but it's a separate plugin and not built in.

Just trying this out today, but when I bring up the UI, the Save and Delete buttons are greyed out, so I cannot select them to save my Sets. Not sure what I would be doing wrong.
