Cyui v4  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.6
by: kryo85 [More]

Cyuiv4.6

New version available, compatible with patch 5.0.4!

Starting from version 4.3, addon specific skins will not be defaulted with the ui. You can look here for a addon that will skin all the major addons available: Tukui & ElvUI Extra Skins
Maintained by Azilroka, Repooc and Darth Predator, members of the Tukui community. Also, requests to skin any addons can be made in this thread.

Cyui is a module for Tukui. It uses the Tukui engine to run, and re-skin Blizzards' default interface.
Cyui was designed for 1680*1050 and above resolutions, and requires a bigger than 1280*900 resolution to run smoothly. Lower resolutions may run, but are not supported.

INSTALLATION

  1. BACKUP your Interface and WTF folders
  2. Download and extract Tukui to WoW/Interface/AddOns
  3. Download and extract CyUI to Wow/Interface/AddOns
  4. Restart the client, make sure both Tukui and CyUI are enabled on the addon management page
  5. Log your character, and follow the onscreen tutorial
If you're upgrading from v1 to v2, please perform a CLEAN INSTALL, remove or backup your WTF folder as well as the v1 CyUI folders.
If you're upgrading from either v1, v2 or v3 to v4 it's not necessary a clean install, but it is recomended that you perform a /resetui after logging in for the first time.

Put on inner fire and you wont have that. Isn't that a blizzard option when they incorporated that old mod? It goes along the same lines as Sword and Board and Eclipse and such.

@RancidGlue, that's a reminder, not a proc alert. When you engage in combat without inner fire/will for priest, aspect for hunter, armor for lock, shouts for warrior, it will display a graphic to remind you to buff.

If you like strolling aroung without buffs, then by all means, deactivate this function in config.lua
Code:
TukuiCF["buffreminder"] = {
["enable"] = true, -- this is now the new innerfire warning script for all armor/aspect class.
Change to false, and voilá

Hello,

I got a question about your raid unit frames on 2nd screenshot. How can I make mine to look like yours? All I get are flatline without Mana Bar on it and without the debuff icons next to it.

Finally able to use the UI.

Since I just got a new monitor recently I am able to use the UI now.

But I have a question. Do the Unit Frames function the best way they should during PvP? My brother is a Rogue, and I'm a Holy Paladin, my job is to heal him and keep him alive, and keep debuffs off him to the best of my ability in PvP. To do that effectively, him and several other people swear by X-Perl and say I should use that, and not use a full on UI compilation or anything there of. So what I'm ask about the Unit Frames is very important, because it determines whether or not I can ever use this UI really.

I hope they have proper debuff coloring or glows around the outside so I know what is what, without having to see the icon in particular. If not, is there any way we can make them do that for this UI, so that users that PvP, will get the best experience out of it?

I also wanted to ask if we could get some kind of Bag Sorting, similar to how it's done in RealUI with ArkInventory and how to move the position of the chat edit box you know when you press enter, having that anchored to the bottom looks weird, and the white border doesn't really go with the UI in my opinion, I would like to change it too, but I can't find out how to do this in the /tukui config?

Thanks for your time.

Regarding the pvp, it won't play for you. Try it, if you like it, then use them, if not, try other stuff around.
Me and my friends have been using tukui for a long time now, and we are decent at pvp. It displays everything we need, and hides all the unnecessary bloat.

I got everything else situated... however I did try the /bags sort feature that is in there. It doesn't do what I'm talking about AT ALL, and never could. Having to do a slash command every time to re-sort things, is a ridiculous hassle, just my opinion. I was talking about having a feature to have things stay sorted the way they are put, like specify rules... kind of like what ArkInventory does. But specifically the way Nib set it up to do for his UI which is RealUI. I have become accustomed to that style of bags. Not the look or design of it, just the rules and sorting done there... there is no other bag mod that does anything like it. It would be a great feature to have while still having the bags look good like they do here.

I've been trying to add Tidal Waves to the classtimers, but it doesn't seem to register when I reload the game.

Also is there a way to search in bags by type, similar to how bagnon allows boe, bop, herb, etc. to be filter?

An no, it's not possible to search by type, only by name

You don't need to do a slash command. Right click the close button on the bags, and you'll get a drop down menu.
Regarding the filters, i'm not going to implement features i'm not going to use, sorry.

Is there anyway to move the cast bar? I've tried the /uf to see if it would move them but it does not. Is there a /command that I may be missing? I've checked your extensive FAQ and couldn't find it there either. Thanks in advance.

That's too bad then. I opened up the .lua and found that I was way in over my head as I've never messed with it before.

If there is anyway in a future update that this could be addressed or even the line of code that would move it up or down a bit it would be much appreciated!

Thanks for a great ui either way!

Down? If it's the player castbar, change the 55 to something else.
Code:
TukuiDB.Scale(55))
If it's the target's
Code:
TukuiDB.Scale(220)
You can use negative values if needed.

I understand, is there any way I can disable the bags in this UI then, so I could replace with ArkInventory for the feature I'm wanting?

Also note... when I stated that... it might have came out as complaining, but I promise it wasn't. You've done a great job and I was just trying to help improve upon, and simply asked a question. I just wanted to make sure that was clear, I know I do a good job with English, but my primary language isn't English... and sometimes people confuse what I say with complaining and hurt my feelings. So I just wanted to make it clear before it got to that point. There are some people that can't even type a sentence, let a lone a paragraph like I manage to do... and in a native language to me to boot.

Thank you for what you have done so far with the UI. I will watch to see what else is ever done.
