ColdUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.3
by: Coldkil [More]

As everyone has realized now, i have stopped working on the UI basically because i have stopped playing WoW altogether.

I feel sorry to not have written here before, there is a lot of people that has shown a lot of support on my work and i didn't thank you enough for that.

I had a lot of fun playing with the UI and following your feedback to improve my work.

I hope that something in the future (maybe another game) will let me do another work similar to this, as it's been by far my best WoW experience during my play time.

See you on next journey and projects.

All-in-one UI pack, working for every resolution, just try it and keep it if you like it! Mess with the code, but i don't support any edit.

Features:
- healer layout available: just set the option to true and /reload ui
- you can enable/disable pretty much any plugin
- extended focus frame available, with portrait and castbar
- datatext can be enabled/disabled too, and background panel can be toggled on/off
- change textures/fonts as you please
- you can setup your personal layout, and if you mess with thing, reset everything

SLASH COMMANDS:
/ch will make appear the help - everything is there
/align brings out a grid, very useful to move things around

Other options can be found in the relative addon config.lua file (or in game if it's provided).

AURORA:
i use an edited version of this addon to match all the Blizzard frames with the ones i designed. In game you should disable all options but the map reskin and the "replace normal game fonts" one.

ACTIONBARS:
just open config.lua in ColdBars addon, it's everything there. There are the same options as before plus some additional functionalities like vertical bars and the possibility to costantly hide pet/stance bar.
Button skin is embedded into the bars addon.
NOW PLUS MOUSEOVER!

About screenshots: they may show MSBT and an aura tracker addon, they aren't included in the package. Sorry, i still havent updated them, hope to do it asap.

CREDITS:
All credits go to respective addon authors.
Thanks to haste, for creating oUF.
Thanks to Caellian, since i've learned destroying you awesome layout.
Thanks to Tukz, i've taken some features from your incredible work.
Thanks to WoWInterface, MMO-Champion and WoWHead for their communities which have helped me a lot.
Bags are a stripped down and reduced to the bone version of Stuffing.
Cooldowns are a "same of above" version of OmniCC.
Runebar is a "same of above" edit if nibRunes.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Make a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, then move/delete them from WoW directory.
- Unzip the archive.
- Put the folders in the ZIP archive into you Interface/Addons folder.
That's it!

ADDONS LIST:
- alDamageMeter
- Aurora
- oUF
- oUF_Smooth
- oUF_Coldkil
- cError
- ColdBars
- ColdPlates (a very very heavy rDiabloNameplates edit)
- ColdBags

how can i change this to the cool new squares?
Thanks for pointing that out - since lock bars are a script i made myself when i made the new indicators (included with oUF) i simply forgot to change warlock shards in the same way.

Since i'm updating the UI for restoring the draggable unitframes in addition to actionbars, i'm going to fix it too.

Anytime still my Favourite ui on WoW I, its really well made, and you deserve at the very least a thank you,
although you also deserve a slap for making me make a rogue just cus the screenshots had one :P
on a side note tho thank you this trully is a fantastic piece of work, minimal, uses absoultley no system resources at all. and works like a charm.

note to all that download this ui. Also download DMB and click on other files. so you get the awesome dbm layouts
Congratulations on making in my opinion is one of the finest ui creations ive ever had the privilege of using. (and ive used alot all the way back to Discord back in vanilla)

Just asking: what would you prefer between these two methods?

a) a unique slash command (e.g: /fr) that resets the unitframes position depending on what layout you've activated. Pro: only one command, if you change layout just /fr and everything goes to place; Cons: you have to setup the layout in the cfg file

b) two commands (e.g: /heal and /dps) that sets the default positions for the corresponding layout. Pro: switching frame position on-fly is really useful; Cons: still need to set up the cfg variable for everything else.

Atm i'm working with the first solution to check that everything works, but making the second one is easy and takes no time. So i decided to ask you what would be preferrable.

EDIT: going to upload the UI with the first solution. As i said, changing it won't be that hard (but imho it's the best one).

Personaly i like the /fr but ive setup ui's for so many people that the /heal and /dps is the better way to go.
it allows easier switching when your called to off heal etc.. so my vote is the /heal /dps way

and its far easier for the mass to use.
thats my input

Thanks again for the awesome ui :-)

That's the same thing i thought. But since you have in any case to change the config.lua, in the end it's better to condensate the two things in only 1 command - it does the same thing.

Sorry, i had some serious issues IRL and i disappeared for a while. Also i had to stop WoW, so i need to get on par now.

I can give it a try, i need to check what's broken and whatnot :P if someone is already trying to use the UI without any uopdate and could provide me some errors, i would be faster in fixing things

Thumbs up RL > WoW always :)

Hope your RL issues have been resolved.

A 5.1 version of ColdUI would be awesome!

fortunate events have made my RL much better lately.

It seems wow isn't dead for me, so the UI work isn't dead too keep in mind, i'll need some time to get my hands back on everything, but i expect to have all working again.

If there are still supporters following my work, thanks for the patience.

Updates - YAY!

i managed to log into the game and mess with the UI.

- Aurora is updated and fully functional

- Unitframes are fully functional, i have updated the oUF core and i just need to fix the edits i made

- bars etc are fully working (from the little i've seen)

- EDIT: i managed to already make a "working" nameplates version, i lost some functionalities like aggro coloring due to the new code (basically blizz bar is buggy an i needed to make my own). But it's working.

Planning to make a 5.1 release in the weekend if not before.

If you want to help, give me errors you're experiencing

First, check if "load out of date addons" is flagged - i didn't update the actionbar addon version.

Second, type /bm - if it's your first installation probably the db is empty, hence the actionbars are hidden by default; with that you can move them around and show/hide them clicking the red button

EDIT: type /bl to lock them in place. also /ch will bing out the help for future reference. Hope you will use the UI and be satisfied with it!

Thanks to Koenig on MMOChamp i found an error in the code which made the uf to not spawn for paladins, monks and priests.

I've uploaded right now a new fixed version, just overwrite the files and everything will be okay

healer related

how do I get trackers for lifebloom rejuv or any healer related tidbit to show on the raidframes? Are they even included in this UI? is there a way I can enable them through code?
