I see this, and Grid2 have been updated, so I'm giving it a try again. I like the multiple icons and timers of Grid2 in your setup, so I'd kind of like to get back to using Grid2.

@rauxa: the area where you can 'pickup' and drag the grid2 frame is pretty small, like 1 or 2 pixels around the frame. This has to do with the padding. You could try to temporary increase the value for padding in Layout Settings or set a background color, also in Layout Settings, so you can see where you can actually drag the screen.

@sintacks: this sounds to me like an issue with grid2. The addon is still a beta version, and will probably never get out of it. If you wish to make complaints about the addon plz go to http://www.wowace.com/addons/grid2/.

Crashing

I have not being healing in Cata on my druid because when I try to chain heals quickly, I run into a hard lockup.

I started testing with different addons turned on and off, and decovered it was Grid2 that is making me crash. :|

that sucks. because I finally got used to Grid2 over Grid in the end of Wrath ...

and as with a hard lockup, there is no LUA error log or anything else ...

background

How did you get the background of your bars to be black? I have been trying to figure this out for weeks.

Addon looks great, i just want to know how to do this for myself though.

Love it!

Thanks for posting your settings. After 3 hours of configuring and tinkering, I stumbled across your settings and found that you made what my mind was thinking!

Now if only we had a way to get mana bars functionally working in Grid2...

ultra',
Different appearance might be caused due to the fact you don't have the same fonts and textures as I have. I suggest you take a look at the Shared Media addon found at curse.com
Grid2 does not work with profiles at all. Instead it works with layers. Basically it has 3 layers: account, class, spec. For example I use the account-layer for name-text, HP/status text, raiddebuffs etc (all the basic dps stuff actually). The dispellable debuff statuses are set on a class-layer. Every priest can do dispelling and thus should be able to see magic and disease debuffs. The spec-layer could be used for showing only healing stuff. At the moment grid2 only comes with healingspec-layers in it. I have not made use of this feature, so even if you're a feral you can see all the healing stuff done by others.

Barendd,
I'm happy you like it

Profile

Hi Meluda,

if I extract the files in SavedVariables and interface/addons, I don't have the same appearance than you, even if I see Lifebloom counter, etc...

When I open the lua files with a text editor, I notice a lot of profile are included but I'm not able to load the one you used in your screenshot.

Is there any way to load your profile with Grid2 ?

Thanx
