Plaguechill's "Defile on me!" 

A custom mod for 25-man Heroic Lich King, written in-house for Plaguechill of Khadgar.

We wanted a way to train our raiders to react in a split second to defile decisions. DBM, icons, etc were all too "low profile" for us, so we developed a "red light" vs. "green light" system.

If LK casts a defile on you, your screen is tinted red. If it's on a fellow raider, your screen is tinted green.

This mod has its quirks - latency plays a huge factor, and the mod caps itself at 0.1s worth of target scanning before it makes a decision. If your client hasn't picked up on the defile victim before then, it makes a snap decision and uses whatever his current target has become. We thought about increasing the latency cap, but given the incredibly small window of time we have to move defiles, and the rate of error (something close to 1 extremely lagged client every week resulting in a false negative), we decided to stay with 0.1 seconds.
