LoggerPro

Version: 1.32
by: Nyctrennis [More]

LoggerPro logs everything, but it also does much more. Have you ever wanted to know how much time you play in a given month or day? LoggerPro can tell you that. In addition to time, LoggerPro also shows you the following:

  • Epic/Legendary items acquired (if you're in a guild; it uses a hacky workaround to get them)
  • Levels gained per character
  • Achievements per character
  • Zones entered and left
  • Battleground win/losses/HKs/KBs/HD/DD
  • Logins and logouts
  • Deaths
  • DBM boss kills (If DBM is installed)

This addon shows all of that in an easy to use interface. All logging options are completely customizable; if you don't want to log any certain event you can turn it off.

Changelog:
  • r1-3-2: Fixed bug with monk class, also fixed null error.
  • r1-3-1: When you complete a dungeon or LFR raid with members of your guild, people from your friends list, or RealID friends it will show that in your log. (i.e names of the members who came along and your relationship to them)
  • r1-3-0: Updated for 5.0.4.
  • r1-2-9: Never ever say that all bugs are squashed.
  • r1-2-8: Bug squashing spree. Now, as far as I can tell, the addon is completely bug-free. I also added an icon to the levels part of the summary page which shows a class that you leveled for that particular day.
  • r1-2-7: Minor bugfixes and rewrites that make the addon a little less spotty. Yes, I know I skipped 1.2.6, it was an internal beta
  • r1-2-5: Fixed the level summary failure. Added LFG dungeon logging and icons to PvP battlegrounds.
  • r1-2-4: Fixed the creation of multiple dates.
  • r1-2-3: Fixed stack overflow.
  • 8/12/12: Fixed stability of Summary panel. Added battleground logging. Addon is stable. Fixed folder issue.
  • 8/6/12: Addon actually works now. Glad to see I could fit this in for the second update! Also, there's a summary frame now. I removed the tooltips present in the screenshots as they were clunky. The summary frame works much better.
  • 7/22/12: First revision update. Fixed disabled options buttons when DBM isn't installed.

You shouldn't appologise too much.
Your obvious concern, however, has me interested in this addon.
I've bookmarked it and am likely to try it out soon.
From some of the other comments, it looks like you do now have testers.

Installed the new update and everything works great again, on both live and beta clients. If you need any more testing, let me know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I found out what was causing the bug and it should be fixed now. I must apologize; I really should be more wary of bugs but the addon works well on my client, just not so well for others. All bugs should be fixed and the addon is working on a fresh installation of WoW. If anyone's interested in beta testing these things, let me know!

Fixed both of your issues. Also un-polluted the global namespace.

I have a couple of observations, if you don't mind.

1.) Every time I've downloaded this addon, there are two versions of it in the folder when unzipped. One directly in the "Logger" folder that it unzips to, and also another "Logger" folder which contains another version. IE: WoW > Interface > AddOns > Logger > Logger.toc (the current version) > [and another folder] Logger > Logger.toc (0.4 version).

2.) I downloaded the latest version (r-1-2), but the .toc still says that it's v1.1 and it still contains a copy of the 0.4 version.

Just wondering why.

I'm afraid I don't have beta access, so I can't do anything about it at the moment. It's working on live (just retested it on a fresh install) so that's all I can do.

I only just found out about this bug recently; I'm the only beta tester and it seems I wasn't creating a global namespace for the log. It worked flawlessly on my side up until I tried it on a fresh install of WoW. Glitch is now fixed and the addon is updated with new features!

Bug?

I saw your thread about the pop up you get, and tried your addon out. v1.01 popped this error on first load:
Lua Code:
  1. ["message"] = "Logger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1267: bad argument #1 to \"pairs\" (table expected, got nil)",
  2.             ["time"] = "2012/07/31 18:23:43",
  3.             ["locals"] = "",
  4.             ["stack"] = "<in C code>\nLogger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1267: in function \"n_setDailyIndex\"\nLogger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1254: in function \"n_store\"\nLogger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1010: in function \"Logger_OnEvent\"\n<string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1: in function <string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1",
  5.             ["session"] = 321,
  6.             ["counter"] = 2,
  7.         }, -- [3]
  8.         {
  9.             ["message"] = "Logger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1040: attempt to index global \"n_log\" (a nil value)",
  10.             ["time"] = "2012/07/31 18:30:19",
  11.             ["locals"] = "self = Logger {\n 0 = <userdata>\n}\nevent = \"PLAYER_LOGOUT\"\n",
  12.             ["stack"] = "Logger\\Logger-1.0.lua:1040: in function \"Logger_OnEvent\"\n<string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1: in function <string>:\"*:OnEvent\":1",
  13.             ["session"] = 321,
  14.             ["counter"] = 1,
  15.         }, -- [4]
Picked it up with BugSack. Hope it helps.
