oUF Henna

Version: 000002
by: Lyelu [More]

These unitframes are designed to be very like Blizzard's Player Frame and Target Frame, but with a few more features.

You can reskin, resize and reposition them. The borders are intended to match with Tattoo and TattooMinimap, completing the entire UI set, which are all skinnable. The alignments are percent based, so they'll resize and realign properly when screen is resized.

You will need OUF to use these unitframes. This is a first release and you will need to reload your UI often to show changes made in the layout or when switching profiles.

This project is still in beta; feel free to post bug reports or requests, thanks!

----------------------

Features

-- In-game configuration with profiles.
-- Round portraits.
-- Custom icons for pvp, resting, group leader and masterlooter, placed around portraits.
-- Graphics for elite and silver elite, placed around portraits.
-- Animated display for in-combat.
-- Custom icon colors match custom border colors.
-- Custom border chooser with color picker.
-- Custom statusbar chooser.
-- Custom health/power ratios per frame.
-- Custom buff/debuff layout on top or bottom of target.
-- Left-click buffs to toggle between "show all" and "show only mine".
-- Drag player and target by portraits. Drag other frames from left or right side of frames.
-- Positions align from center of screen so resizing screen will not hurt your layout.

-- Percent display for health.
-- Middle-click on health or mana bars to show full number value of health or mana.
-- Subframes automatically adjust size and font size to a percentage of player and target frames.

-- Portrait background shows reaction (reg green yellow)
-- Level number colors by difficulty (green yellow red)

-- No cast bars. (Because Quartz does it so well.)
-- No party or raid frames. (Because Grid does it so well.)
-- Toggles available to hide Blizzard's party and raid frames, or to hide pet, ToT or focus. Note: In blizzard's config, you may need to uncheck "Unitframes: Use raid Style party frames."

-- Custom class colors and support for overriding my choices, with the addon !ClassColors.
-- Custom colors for pets.
-- Pet frame shows pet-target name.

----------------------

!Not done yet
High priority:
Combopoints, HolyPower, Eclipse, SoulShards, Runes
Agro warning, and toggle for tanks to disable.

Low Priority:
Menus for focus and targettarget
Improve on location of name of pet's target
Improve on location of level
More animated flash when combat starts
Buff textures
Buff toggle is hidden when no buffs are present.
Portrait resizing and relocating options
Debuffs support for ButtonFacade

----------------------

My Bugs!
-- Portraits zoom out to Setcamera(1) when worldmap is opened.
-- Using the addon !ClassColors will require /reload to update portrait background color.
-- Resizing buffs in config requires /reload.
-- Switching profiles requires /reload.
-- Overlay (popup) of extended mana numbers for focus and ToT may disappear on /reload. Relog required to save settings.
-- Clique and/or left-clicking the unitframes does not change your target.
-- Garbage collection is slow.
-- If you do not use UI Scaling, you may have to reload when you drag and then resize screen. Recommended to turn UI Scaling on, since 4.0 changes.

Nicely done layout so far. But a few issues (one major) seen testing version "000002" in WoW 4.2.0a live with both the latest oUF build 5e378 as well as the 1.5.13 release version.

-- It bugs out when moving the frames.

Unlock the frames via the checkmark in the options panel. Grab the edge of, for example, the player frame and move it from its default position to somewhere else. Release the mouse from the edge of the frame after doing so and an error is thrown:

Code:
["message"] = "oUF_Henna-1.4\\dragging.lua:19: attempt to index global 'container' (a nil value)\n",
            ["type"] = "error",
            ["locals"] = "",
            ["session"] = 3795,
            ["counter"] = 1,
        }, -- [999]
Using globals instead of locals? This is a consistent problem every time you move a frame.

There is also the problem noted earlier below about this refusing to maintain set frame positions if you don't set a profile.

If these two problems are a lot of work to fix, recommend dropping the code in the built-in dragging.lua and just using oUF_MovableFrames which doesn't bug out or have profile issues (with a layout without built-in dragging).

-- Nice that you included a decent assortment of bars and icons for selection. But as this already uses Ace3, why not allow it to use/embed LibSharedMedia-3.0 as well?

Heck, you already have your own shared media pack (SharedMedia:Henna) and there are others out there as well.

-- In WoW 4.2, any unit frame mod (or otherwise) that attempts to use the old CompactRaidFrameManager:Hide() (that Henna uses) or PartyMemberFrame:Hide() methods of hiding the Blizz raid frame pull-out will taint badly. Very badly.

So recommend removing that option.

Hi,
I think this issue only exists if you haven't saved a Profile, and plan to look into it when I can.

Great Job but one thing

Its a great Layout, thx to u for it.

I use it with the LUI Interface and it looks great.
There is only one thing which make it difficult in use.
It dont safe the Position.
When udrag it to a point and make a /rl it jumps back to his start position from installing.

Could it be that this is a problem from the resize script u use?

I tried to find the bug, but its late and its hard to read code when its not scripted by ur own ^^.

I hope u can fix it, cause its realy great and the only Layout in this way.

Greetings

monkey

I don't usually comment on addons but i had to when i saw how gorgeous these unit frames are. I love the Elite dragon and Horde icon in the bottom pic of the screen shot. Ive never seen custom textures like that. Great Work!

I can confirm I'm having problems getting the frames to stay in position, as well not being able to self-target and errors when unlocking. Which is a pity, because I LOVE these.

Awesome looking unitframes

Can't wait for the resizing of the portrait bit

There are a few things that bug me

Is there any chance of Clique support?

Also, I can't click my own unitframe to select myself.

A way to change the font size of the Health/Mana values.

Get this error every time I move a frame around for the first time.
Code:
2x oUF_Henna-1.4\dragging.lua:19: attempt to index global 'container' (a nil value)

Locals:

  ---
Can't seem to it to save new positions after a relog. Every time I move a frame and reload, it hops back to the first position I had them at.
I tried deleting the SavedVariable lua file and the layout-local file with no success.

When I have Buffs on top, the debuffs overlap them. On the screenshot below you can see Weakened Soul debuff overlapping my Inner Will buff

Edit reason: Added some things.

Still loving how pretty they are. However when I am doing the five man dungeons. CC is very important and I need to see the raid icons on the frames, so many mobs have the same name and every second counts on dps and not breaking CC.

Could you add raid icons somewhere on the frames? Even off to the side or something?

Thank you bunches.

Hi Purity,
"Selecting yourself" is an issue I tried to fix, but ran out of time before leveling. I use F1 to select myself, or Grid, so I figured I'd release the file in case anyone wants it as-is.
