TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

How do you go about setting this to jump to the next closest waypoint? Went through the options, set the automatically clear waypoint slider to 5 yards.
I can't even manually jump to the next waypoint. Clearing the current waypoint just breaks the arrow, makes it disappear, and it doesn't come back unless I reset the addon. Unfortunately servers are down right now so I can't poke around with it some more or reinstall it, however if there is an obvious option I should look for when I get back on, what would that be? I didn't see any option called "Automatically set waypoint arrow" like I do in the screenshot. |

I'm missing something
I'll go ahead an admit that I'm suffering from a bad case of the dumb right now, but for the life of me I cannot set custom waypoints via mouse clicks.
I know when I used Tomtom a year ago that you could simply click on the mini map and it would set a waypoint. Now when I click, I hear a chiming sound and see a golden circle show up on the map, but no actual waypoint is set. I don't have any other add-ons installed so it can't be a confliction and I downloaded the latest version. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! |

Re: Permanent waypoints?
Code:
TomTom:AddMFWaypoint(mapId, floorId, x, y, {cleardistance = 0})

Permanent waypoints?
Is there currently a way to create waypoints that won't be automatically removed once you reach the destination? I find myself constantly having to recreate waypoints for destinations I need to check frequently, but setting the auto remove value to 0 to disable deletion is problematic because there are only some waypoints I'd like to keep around.
I'm hoping there is some sort of flag I've missed or something. |

On another note... This makes it possible to show blips on minimap, but not waypoint arrows, changing the waypoint metadata based on proximity. |
