Bloody Screen (4.2 Fan Update)

Feador is away still on holidays and 4.2 has broken his mod.

This is his mod with the arguments adjusted to work with cata 4.2

This is only here as a fan update until Feador returns.

By having some more speartime during my christmas "holidays", I started to play WotLK a little bit and fixed up BloodyScreen to work with the new addon. Just in case anyone remembers it and still cares...

Maybe you know the 6th pvp movie of Hector ("Eulogy"). If you don't, this is where you can watch it: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=8535777175666151145&q=Hector+Eulogy On about 2 mins, he fights with a druid, and every time he crits some splatters of blood appear on the screen. I've tried to embed this effect in my user interface with discord art and after several suggestions in the official World of Warcraft Forums, I designed it as a standalone mod.

The configuration window is shown if you type /bloodyscreen or /bs into your chat. There are a few modes, how the splatters can appear on your screen. -They can be shown as combo points -They can appear whenever you crit in combat. With this option activated, they will las until you're out of combat again. -They can appear when you crit, but vanish again after a certain time. -They can appear as above, but with the same timer for all splatters. That means if you don't crit for the set time, they will disappear again.

And please ignore my mistakes; I'm swiss and don't speak english very often ;-)

Oh, and if you want to revise my localisation... you'll find everything in the "Localisation.lua" file.

If anyone works out the right arguments to post for each item within the BS_Main.lua file, then post them here and I'll fix it up and upload the fix.

You all have a computer that can run a program like notepad.
You all have the ability to alter the arguments within the BS_Main.lua file and save it then test it.

Instead of posting 'repair it please' or telling me things I already know... how about you guys try editing the file, saving it, reloading your ui to load up your changes and testing them out because at the moment, I am very busy on my own addon and too busy to invest any further time in to someone elses addon.

My main goal with this update was to get it to splat blood on the screen and it does that.

Thanks for reading and I hope there are a few bright people in the community who can aid in fixing the problem with this add-on at the moment. Please post your fixes if you have them.

Splashes on the screen are displayed isn't dependent on options. From white attack, any crit. This addon always was at me on the first place. Repair it please

I'm having issues with this as well. The spatter stays on the screen for easily a minute despite being set to 1 second, and the time setting doesn't seem to affect it at all.
It's also being triggered by something other than my own attacks; either criticals from my pet or from party members, I'm not sure which right now.

It's probably just one of the arguments being adjusted to another position.

Shouldn't be a hard fix, just need to find the argument number for crits and make sure I got it in the right place.

I dunno, I haven't paid too much attention to it.

I just wanted to make sure the blood splattered again as it broke.

Maybe it's a bug the other author can look in to when he returns or if I got time I can look. (which at the moment I'm a little busy with a few projects).

Ehm so i donno might have stumbled upon a bug, i get a splatter on every hit, not only crits.
