Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0.4
by: Neal, ballagarba, thomasjohnshannon

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Thanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something! Some addons like nCore, oUF_Neav and oUF_NeavRaid have an in-game configuration.

How can I move the player, target, focus, boss and arena frames?
Use the /neav slash command to toggle the anchors to move the frames around.

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.
/ntooltip toggles the tooltip anchor.
/alertframemover toggles the "talking head" anchor.
/neavcast toggles the anchors for the castbars.
/neavbag toggles the bag bar.
/moveextraactionbar toggles the anchor for the extra action button.

Hi ballagarba, I'll show you some screenshots here about what I was talkin about, with additional few info if you like to get updated

Here's the party indicator that is above the player frame, it simply tells you that you are in a party group outside of the current party/raid group, which happens if you are inside a BG or inside a LFR or inside of crossrealm thingy, but it tells you that back in your original realm you are in a party.

Here's the mushrooms that are underneath the player frame & The warrior frame.

Few things also, there's a blizzard indicator thingy that will be shown to the right of the party frame which tells you if a person is in a different quest-zone. You know sometimes you go with a friend to a zone and you can't see that friend because he's in a different stage of quests, A black indicator from blizzard near that friend partyframe that if you hover over it, it tells you "That player is at a different quest-zone" something of the sort, but sadly I couldn't find a friend thats in a different quest-zone to take a screenshot.

there a way to set the chat frame size and position in lua file? in screenshots the chat frame sort of mirrors the position of the tooltip.

Yes, I've noticed the mushroom timer is a bit wonky. Neav actually removed the textures and only kept the timers.

Had no idea about the warrior's banners. When does warriors get banners? I've got a lvl 86 warrior, is that enough for testing?

Just figured to mention that you might wanna know , thanks.
It's good you update me with recent changes, I don't play nearly enough to notice them anymore Could you possible post a screenshot of that party thingie? Just for reference.

@Greensleeper:
I'm just gonna take a guess that you're not familiar with frame positioning in WoW, because it works for me.

'BOTTOMRIGHT', UIParent, 'BOTTOMRIGHT', 0, 0 means that the bottom right corner of the tooltip should be anchored to the bottom right corner of the frame UIParent (which is the whole game screen). And 0 and 0 is the X and Y offsets.

So setting a for exameple position = {'LEFT', UIParent, 'RIGHT', -100, 0} will put the tooltip's left side 100px to the left of the right hand side of the screen.

@Xully:
I get what you're trying to achieve. You pretty much want to anchor the target castbar to the target frame's aura list. However, the problem is that while it's possible, the config.lua file is executed before the aura frames even exist, resulting in a Lua error. It's a bit of a chicken and egg problem.

What you'd have to do is re-parent the target castbar sometime after the target frame is completely loaded. Either by waiting of an appropriate event like ADDON_LOADED/PLAYER_ALIVE, or setup an OnUpdate script which runs continously, checking for the frame you want to parent to and when it finds it, re-parent and kill the OnUpdate script.

Another problem is if I remember correctly there's no (easy accessible) reference to the target castbar...

@janje:
Unresponsive? Hmm, gonna have to look into that... Not sure I'm experiencing that. Sounds like you're talking about several seconds late?

@strickland:
I believe the pink-ish guild name color is only when that target is in the same guild as yourself. Could you post the Lua error you're having please? And have you changed and values in config.lua? If so, post them as well.

Hi, tooltip has some issue, sometimes it spam a lua error, but for most part what I noticed is that Guild color is just white instead of the orignal pink guild color text, it is only pink if I target myself and see my self tooltip

its in config.lua right? under [target]

position = {'TOPLEFT', UIParent, 300, -30}, ?? this is what i need to change right? and to what please
You can simply play around with the numbers (300 and -30 in your case) where the first one represents horizontal position and the second vertical. However, the line you posted is regarding the target position, and not the castbar of target, which is located ~20 lines lower in the config.lua.
but this is a problem to me, because then the castbar would not behave as it normally would do, as in moving downwards with the debuffs/buffs, for example a person with so many debuffs the rows would be 2 or 3, then the castbar would move downwards with it to adjust automatically had it be parenting the target frame, You know what I mean?

By playing with numbers I achieved the correct place, but if a boss or target had too many debuffs the "buff/debuff" will overlap with the target_castbar, which is a problem.

in the normal behavior of target cast bar it automatically move and adjust with the buffs/debuffs rows.

and making buffs on top is not an option to me because I like the frames at top left as the normal blizzard ui start with.
I do not believe that this ui offers that option (neither the buffs above target), so I would suggest you put your target castbar either above or on the right? side of the portrait.

Nevermind, I have located the problem, looking outside the ouf_neav folder was my last resort! Nevertheless, somewhere between my last post and now, I realised your addons were making everything a bit unresponsive (for example, Kill shot trigger at 20% would be a bit late, with most targets already dead by then) so I stopped using them, a shame, they were a graphical delight.

changing

    },
does nothing for me
