I remember seeing this a long time ago, looks like you made good progress on it since then!

I am sure you can find some helpful people around for an english locale of it.

Also on one front being the items, i would like to point out http://pilus.info/forum/ the gryphonheart addons incase you ever wish to make some compatiblity.

One question I would have:

Presently all of the "flagging" addons for displaying RP biographies for characters (FlagRSP, FlagRSP2, MRP, IRP) are inter-compatible with one another.

Is this also so with Total RP?

Ah, well, it wasn't in the description for the addon. But it's in my description for it, anyway. Always happy to have another to add to the list.

I'm a complete LUA noob, and my grasp of French is sketchy, or I'd volunteer.

Hi everybody !

Thanks for all your comments. But I want to precise you something !
I worked on TotalRP for 1 year and half now. It was my first add-on and so I learn xml and lua (and add-on programming for wow) with it. And the problem is here : if the addon has been seriously improved since the beginning, I never plan the code for localisation. Yeah, I now, it's bad, but more than 85% of the sentences how have to be translated are hard-coded and spread all over the code... And in french grammar.
It would be horrible to translate the add-on now.

I'm starting programming the next version of the addon, Total RP 2, who will be release in 5-6 months. I assure you : that future version will be easily translatable !

(sorry for my bad english , if I said something wrong or that don't mean anything, tell me )

Your English is indubitably better than my French.

However, I can provide some help with exact translations, based on my experimentation with the character profile:

"Nom" = "Name Suffix."
"Prénom" = "Name."
"Titre" = "Name Prefix." (It's just a little pet peeve of mine...but let's say that I'm playing a draenei priest. "Anchorite" is a title, not a "first name.")
"Sous Titre" = "Title."

Height is self-explanatory.

"Corpulence" is, somewhat amusingly, a cognate for an archaic English word meaning "fatness." However, it seems to refer to frame size here; I'd translate it to "build." The options here should probably be translated to Very Light, Light, Medium, Heavy, and Very Heavy.

"Silhouette" should probably translate to "physique." The two outside options translate to "fat" and "muscular" simply enough. However, the one in the center is another odd cognate: It means "slender" in English. As it seems to be used to mean "average" here (i.e. that the character is neither visibly toned nor obviously soft) it should probably be translated to "average."

And the D&D (pre-4th-edition) spectra in English are (moral) Good, Neutral and Evil and (ethical) Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic, just in case you didn't know.

really its just a matter of you have to parse through all of the files to get EVERYTHING. and if you do manage to get everything translated you would have hugs but would need permission for a release of it.

I'd try, but I'm very much a LUA n00b. And if I were to wrap my head around it well enough to get such a project completed, I'd send it directly to the author.

well this addon isn't localized, all you have to do is open up the files in note pad and parse through them.

It would need to be released as a special EN version of the addon if anything.

I do have a small suggestion and a question...or questions...or more then one suggestion

on the tooltip, instead of the alliance crest would it be possible to allow racial or even guild crests (i think theres an api call for that i need to test it later being this http://www.wowwiki.com/API_GetGuildTabardFileNames ).

also do you plan to have some base compatiblity with the Gryphonheart suite? (I do scripts in GHI and have some compatiblity for the buff system in my own addon)

OH also my machine trasnlating your forums and looking i see you have Lore compatiblity, i am not sure how much lore is maintained now however i do maintain the mod Tongues

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...s/tongues.aspx

I have added no new major features yet still corresponding with skrull on some things (that and i still consider myself a lua novice) but if it helps you out any feel free to make some compatiblity or use it if you can.
