Mapster is a very simple world map enhacement addon, which was designed to work in conjunction with all other map addons out there. The idea to create Mapster originated from pure lack of a simplistic addon that only modifies the world map, without adding a full scale feature set.

Features

Map Style (Scale & Alpha)
Coordinates
Fog of War removal
Enhancement of the raid/party group icons

You can access the Mapster configuration menu through the new button on the world map, as shown in the screenshot.
All features (except the style) can be turned off individually if you do not need/want them.

If you're looking for a replacement to Cartographer, i also recommend the following addons:

Gathering -> GatherMate (Hosted on WoWAce -> Download)
Waypoints -> TomTom
ZoneInfo -> Cromulent
Notes -> HandyNotes | HandyNotes Modules

Maintaining Classic support has become a huge burden for this mod, since
it is designed to modify the Blizzard UI, and the UI diverges even
further between Retail and the different Classic variants with every
update.
Hence, I rather focus my efforts on Retail, and other mods.

That would work... if Blizzard implemented such a map. Atlas has their own, but only the Northrend dungeons have in-game maps.

Amazingly, every other solution I used before Mapster had this support. I don't expect it to show me the location in the dungeon, but I do expect it to show me a map of the dungeon. I.e., cartographer and metamap both did this. It's not some amazing feature request.

I can see on the pictures it can be used for looking were quests are on the map and quest description . I unpacked it and when i logged on to wow i could see that it doesn't show the map and quest description together as it looks like on picture 1 . What should i do ?

It seems half the time these blue areas don't show up, and the other half of the time it just works fine. I disabled Mapster and found that blue marked areas show up 100% of the time when clicking a quest, so Mapster is interfering with it somehow.

I found exactly the same as Azza2. The blue 'blobs' do not show up on the map with mapster - once i disable mapster, they can be seen.

I loaded *only* Mapster and the issue didn't get resolved. I would love to continue using Mapster, as I have grown to really find it useful... until this issue. I would rather not return to MetaMap, but I guess I would do so until this issue is resolved.
