miniDMG

Version: 0.2
by: nishi [More]

Custom mini fonts for Good Damage 2 addon, which seems to have been discontinued.

Halves the size of the default combat text (Friz Quadrata TT font).

I plan to add some features to this, like an in-game gui font selector. Eventually.

note: This font and size applies only to target effects and damage. Buffs and healing on yourself (if enabled) are unaffected.

v 0.2
Added complete mini fonts (instead of just numerics)

v .1
initial release

i've try to set better crit fonts since months, and i was very curious when i've seen minidmg on wowinterface. i'll keep you updated if i find a way to resolve that problem, for now i keep damage text disabled.
I don't think you can do anything about the appearance of crits. The font is pre-rendered into a graphic sprite, which is much faster to display. The crits then use that same sprite and resizes it to pop out, but since it was so small to begin with (and isn't resampled) it causes the pixellation.

The minibav.ttf font I included in the zip is made completely of 90 degree angles, so it actually looks correct

I don't know any way around this, as it is part of the locked blizzard ui and there's no way to place text spatially like it does. Personally I like it though. It sticks out and grabs your attention like the messy, bloody crit that it is

the question is: fontsize? i'm trying to export ttf files from fontexplorer and other font managers, but i cant really find how to set the size.

The crit size is also scaled down 50%. It will still pop out.

Yes definitely! I will probably get to this over the weekend. I use Mik's scrolling combat text for everything else, so I didn't notice it until later :/
