About Outfitter

Outfitter is an equipment management addon which gives you fast access to multiple outfits to optimize your abilities in PvE and PvP, automated equip and unequip for convenience doing a variety of activities, or to enhance role-playing.

Outfitter includes an icon bar for fast access to your outfits, a minimap menu for fast compact access, support for LibDataBroker, scripting with a library of pre-made scripts for most common tasks, outfits optimized for a particular stat, item comparisons across outfits, quick access to items via the character sheet, and more.

It's ItemRack that does it on hover, Outfitter has always done it on click. I experimented with adding hover support but I found it very annoying to have those things flying out while I'm just examining my gear so I backed it out. I'll try looking at ItemRack and see if there's something I just didn't think of to make the feature friendlier.

If you do find a way to implement it, please make it optional. I also find it annoying.

Re: Falling Script

Make sure you have an up-to-date version because there was a bug in that script causing it to fail. Also, make sure it says you have it set for Falling and not Custom (it'll change to custom if any edits are made, which will make it stop updating from the built-in script if I make changes).

Edit: forgot to say, yes, it's safe to edit (edits don't change the built-in copy, it makes a clone and saves that instead). I thought I had the delay as a $SETTING parameter but maybe I'm thinking of something else.

At some point, and I can't say exactly where because I've barely played in the last few months, the Falling Script has stopped working for me. Is there something I need to do to get it to properly de-equip my gear again when I'm falling a distance? Also, is it "safe" to adjust the delay interval in the script?

I thought I knew what I was doing, being a long time user of this mod and having had no trouble with the Falling Script in the past; but no matter what I've tried, I can't get it to work. The script is enabled for an "empty" outfit just as before, but when I test it by leaping to my death, all my gear remains equipped.

Update and re-select the Falling script if it has changed to Custom

I eventually tracked the problem down to an issue with MobInfo2. The script apparently relies on the original tooltip to determine when you mouse over an Argent Tournament mount. MobInfo2 was set to hide the original tooltip, and show a more detailed tooltip at a placement of my choosing. I also have it set to use a smaller font in the new tooltip. I turned on the original tooltip, and the auto-switch worked as expected. Now I have two tooltips on the screen for every mob and NPC in the game. This sort of thing usually happens if some of your druid outfits are Complete while others are Accessory. Outfitter always has to have one Complete outfit selected, so if your bear outfit is Complete and your cat outfit is Accessory, then switching from bear to cat will cause Outfitter to have to find another Complete to wear in place of the bear outfit you're unequipping. It will choose the most recent Complete outfit you wore which is the Birthday Suit outfit (it will choose it even if you haven't worn it recently if there's nothing else to choose from).

The best solution is to create one Complete outfit which represents your most common base gear (ie, if you're a feral tank then make it your tanking gear) and don't set any automation on that outfit at all. Then make all of your other form outfits Accessories (just uncheck the shirt or tabard slot if necessary). Since the Complete doesn't have automation it won't try to unequip, and the others are Accessories so they'll overlay on that one and won't leave you naked.

There already is - it's the Item Level optimization in the Stats section of the menu.

I have a lot of titles, and I was trying to get my cloak to show up in a new outfit. The problem was, the titles filled up the outfit display screen, so I couldn't get to the option to show/hide cloak for the specific outfit.

Update your Outfitter to a newer version which puts the titles into a separate menu when you have more than 10.

I did do that...I had the most current version, but did so again just in case. I still have the issue...see here:
