This is a very tiny addon to clear texts from the active ChatFrame, works with or without LDB display plugins.

Without LDB display:

you can use slash commands /clr or /clear

With LDB display:

click the button ...

LDB (LibDataBroker) is a neat & lightweight library developed by Tekkub
allowing developers to build very short or strong codes compatible with all "FuBar" like mods, more infos here.

Note: To unpack the archive use WinZip, WinRAR, 7-Zip(free) etc (well anything other than the crap zip extractor built in XP, no support will be given for unpacking)

The gzip program and format is designed for compressing a single file. The (pk)zip program does both things at once. The standard way of bundling up and compressing files in Unix is to use both tar and gzip, so you have archive.tar.gz, while the standard on Windows machines is to use zip by itself, producing archive.zip. Since zip performs file aggregation as well as file compression, there is nothing to be gained by using tar for file aggregation first and then also zip. It's inefficient and nonstandard, and forces users to perform an additional completely pointless step that many of them don't know how to do. tl;dr: use zip without tar

Please do not assume people's skill set like that it simply makes you look not only arrogant but has no place on this site.

That is fine if you will not conform to the potential majority of your userbase.

I for one will not use your addon becasue you do something I find unhelpful.

You don't gain size by compressing aonther format's already compressed mod. All you are doing is making it so people who do not care to run winrar have to do that.
