Can't find a setting for "normal" plates (ie out of combat plates) scaling. In the past I had bumped the scale to 1.1 in the normal.lua. Is there anyway to globally change the scale of "normal" situation plate display?

edit: perhaps this was a sort of "global" scale? Using the scale for my old threat plates in the new threat plates config ui and -all- plates seem a bit smaller. Since I scaled "normal" to 1.1, I wonder if all plates were affected.

Yea I am going to incorporate scaling for all types of nameplates, including elites and bosses as I did for clean plates v1.8.

With v1.7 for threat plates i'm adding new options for threat textures, and more of them.

Just abit confused ThreatPlates are only for scaling while your CleanPlates is for the looks?

If not does the CleanPlates include the scaling that ThreatPlates provide.

Clean Plates are for all around use while threat plates is generally for tanks wanting something to ease their tanking troubles.

Threat Plates doesn't have as much "bulk" as Clean Plates and it's bazillion features.

Awww! Too bad because I want all the CleanPlates features while using ThreatPlates. How about combining them? or can you make a plugin for scaling by threat or option in CleanPlates?

Would really love that!

Tidy Plates 5.7.5 + Threat Plates 1.6b

I can't seem to get threat plates to function in 3.3

I tried deleting both folders, loading up wow to get WTF folder to register no name plate mods, then I installed tidy plates 5.7.5 and loaded wow. When I select the tank theme for tidy plates, the name plates scale to a slightly smaller size when I have aggro on the respective mob. Then I went and installed threat plates 1.6b and loaded wow. Now when I aggro a mob, I get the large nameplate with the red sqwigglies on each side as if I don't have aggro on the mob. This is loading from the default where threat plates is set to "tank" mode and the threat system is on. So then I switch to "dps" mode and when I aggro a mob, I slightly smaller nameplates than normal, but mobs that aren't aggro'd onto me are the normal size (As opposed to the large "Lost threat" name plates in 3.2) without any threat border/sqwigglies.

Not too sure what I'm doing wrong.

The problem is with v5.7.5 the default theme for Tidy Plates has options. These options don't affect my theme.

Threat Plates has it's own options aside from Tidy Plates and will change according to those options.

Type "/tptp" for Threat Plates options.

Yes, when I said I was loading the default "tank" mode, it was the default settings for threat plates I was refering to. When I aggro a mob, the scale stays at 125% (I assume the scale refers to the size of the V bars, where 125% is the default for low threat while tanking and 75% is the default for high threat)

I assume it's just me, or something, but from what I can tell, threat plates does NOT update the scaling of the V bars no matter what conditions are in place. I've tried every combination of Default Tidy Plate theme, Tank Tidy Plate theme, Tank mode of Threat Plates, and Dps mode of Threat Plates. Every time when I aggro mobs in tank mode of threat plates, the V bars go to the "Low Threat" 125% scale even if I adjust the "low threat" scale to 70%. Every time I aggro mobs in dps mode of threat plates, the V bars go the "High Threat" 70% scale, even if I get another tank to come taunt the mobs off of me and/or if I adjust the "High threat" and "Low threat" scales on dps mode to 125%

I've also tried it with ALL mods (other than tidy plates 5.7.5 and Threat plates 1.6b) off, and blizzards Name plates set to "stacking" (I automatically turned that option off once 3.3 went live) nothing changes though.

I've seen HOW this mod works from various videos, and it looks like a great mod, I just can't get the nameplate scaling to acknowledge ANY threat changes in my system. Not sure why, honestly.

I would recommend downloading !BugGrabber and BugSack and see if you're getting Lua error's you're not aware of. Since I'm fairly sure you're a new user to 1.6 you should also do a clean reinstall of Threat Plates. I'm still uncertain of what's causing your problem. Also if you have any other nameplate themes for Tidy Plates, I'd make sure they're not enabled as they conflict with each other.

What language is your client preforming on?

Are these videos online? I'd like to see them myself :U.

There may be some hidden reason for your malfunction I'm not certain of.

I'll try your suggestions when I get home. Here's a video I found of a paladin using you mod from the maintankadin forums:

I think it's time to stop trying.

Nothing came up on bug grabber.

So I went ahead and removed the WTF and Cache folders from the World of Warcraft program folder and loaded WoW with only tidy plates and threat plates on. Nothing new, it still behaves as if there's never a threat change.

Then I load my rogue, and threat plates works perfectly on my rogue. I swap back and forth between dps mode and tank mode and the V bars scale / glow / sqwiggly line appropriately. As far as I know, addon variables/conditions aren't saved anywhere outside of the WTF and maybe the Cache/WDB folder. It's just my DK that is having the issues. I'm pretty sure when I first installed threat plates, I had v5.6 of Tidy plates installed, and I only loaded it on my DK. I didn't actually play my rogue till I had v5.7.5 of tidy plates and 1.6b of threat plates. I suppose that could be the issue, but I'm perplexed as to why that would be the case after loading a fresh WTF folder.

Great mod for DPS mode on my rogue though.

I would go ahead and go back on your DK and have nothing but tidy plates and threat plates on. Try toggling from dps to tank and see if anything changes.

If you're in DPS mode on your DK does it still work as intended?

How about tank mode on your rogue?

Tidy 5.7.8

When I removed my WTF/WDB folders, the only mods I loaded were Tidy Plates and Threat plates. The bug catcher was before I did that. So however there is an issue, it appears to be outside of those folders, and restricted to the DK.

On my rogue, tank mode works properly, as does dps mode. On the DK, dps mode is "broken" the same way tank mode is. All nameplates are normal size until the mob enters combat. At which point the nameplates jump to a default 70% or so scale as if to say low threat, and they stay there no matter what. They also have no green glow. In tank mode, nameplates are normal till the mob enters combat, then all the nameplates jump to a default 125% or so scale as if to say low threat, and they stay there no matter what.

I haven't tried again on my DK now that 5.7.8 of tidy plates is available, I may do that.

What I'm confused about is Tidy Plates and threat plates don't seem to have anything player specific about them. When I go into my DK's folder, in the saved variables folder, tidy plates/threat plates isn't there. It's in the overall account saved variables. How could/why would this be a character specific issue.
