BuffHUD

Version: 1.8
by: kraftman [More]

I'm no longer working on this at all, as it has for the most part been replaced by 'Buffed!'

Thanks.

1.4: a move towards making the addon modular, so that people only need to load the parts that they require. fixed a lot of config bugs too.

1.41: fixed the config so that the frames move when you change their settings, rather than when you gain/lose a buff.
added a filter which reduces the alpha of buffs with greater than a minute left on them. if you dont like this, simply delete the module (buffHUDfilters) or edit it out from the .toc file for now. Greater configuration for this module will be on its way very soon.

1.5: added a lot more to the filter module. buffs are now click through when in combat, and have reduced alpha when out of combat, unless shift is held.

1.6 first attempts at seperating buffs by duration: buffs that have a duration less than x (currently 20) will show up first, and with a higher alpha than buffs with a longer duration. Currently the only way to change this value is to edit BUFF_ALPHA_TEST in the BuffHUDfilters module. Otherwise just delete that module for now if it bugs you. :) There seem to be some issues with this addon and the addon 'stubby' from the the auctioneer suite. im tryign to fix it now.

1.61: buffs now sorted into three categories: less than 60 seconds remaining, more than 60 seconds, no duration (eg druid forms)

1.7: complete re code of the buff sorting to sort buffs fully by duration, and avoid some of the bugs caused by changing zone with 1.6.

1.8: Added feature to change the buff shape (horizontal: sets it to the original format vertical: buffs grow vertically, inverse curve: curved in the opposite direction)
Updated the slash command configuration, new commands are
/bh buffshape (curve,invcurve,horiz,vert)
/bh debuffshape (as above)
/bh help variable (shows the current value of that variable, eg /bh help buffx returns 'buffx set to -480')
Prepared variables for the GUI config, and for the buffchecker modules.
Cleaned out some old code and made it a bit shinier.

Great add-on! Took me a while to set it up the way I like (help text wasn't too detailed) but now I cannot live without it!

GUI will definitely help a lot in that respect. Something similar to how MSBT configures scroll areas would be perfect.

no other addons are needed for this. It's likely that another addon you have is hiding the default buffs and so hiding this addon.

yeh sorry, until i release the better config its a bit tricky.
basically you need to use trial and error a bit.
the default x direction for the buffs is -480.
so if your buffs are too far to the left of metahud, try -400, too far to the right, try -550 or something. (using "/bh buffx -480" for example)
then if the curvature is out, change it between about 1.0 and 2.0 until it fits (using "/bh buffcurve 1.5" for example)
