Due to lack of time, I left the game some months ago.
Anyone who wants to take over the mod, feel free to.
Or pick apart the code and write your own, better one

Rewritten for WoW 2.0

  • One-key mounting solution, useful whether you have just one mount or several.
  • Supports all mounts currently in game, sensibly chooses/randomizes between what you have.
  • Bind a key and hit it to mount/unmount or shapeshift/deshift, or use '/click GoGoButton' in a macro.

Spell support
  • Supports paladin & warlock summonable mounts.
  • Shaman ghost wolf & druid travel forms - in combat as well.
  • Use '/gogo spell' to toggle whether to include spells in randomization or not.

Autodismount support
  • Dismounts you automagically when clickking on herbs/ores or using offensive spells/abilities.
  • Use '/gogo auto' to toggle this on/off.

Preferred mounts support
  • You can assign one or more preferred mounts for each zone.
  • Use '/gogo ItemLink' or '/gogo SpellName' to add pref.
  • Use '/gogo clear' to clear prefs for current zone.
  • Warning: GoGo will use your preferred mounts even if you have faster ones.

Localizations
  • English, French, German - feel free to send me more.

Changes:
  • 2.0.16 - added second button for land mounts only, fixed mounting in Twisting Nether, reset settings (new format).
  • 2.0.17 - bugfix.

Not sure if it's meant to or not, but this mod doesn't work on druid aquatic form. Other than that, it's quite nice

Never even thought about that. Will have to think about it's inclusion - my current code only supports 1 spell per class.

also and this is a long ways away but druids will get a flying form in the expantion for outlands, so you'll want to add that to the mount list when the time comes. as for swiming mount you can do that by using this macro.

/cast [nostance,swimming] Aquatic Form; [outdoors] Travel Form

Yes, flying form will be supported in TBC, same as flying mounts

Exclamation KeyBinding Conflict

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right spot for this but anyway. I am using Mailto addon which has been updated for the newest patch and your new version. The problem I am having when I assign a keybinding for GoGoMount Blizzard comes out with a warning that i need to disable Mailto which makes know sense as not even using the same keybindings at all. Weird. Does the error come up when you assign the keybinding, or when you hit it?

I'll download MailTo later tonight and check it out. My first addon conflict, cool

edit: Got home earlier than expected. I read about others having issues with MailTo, and I _think_ the problems are due to it hooking to blizz functions (like UseContainerItem()) in a manner that's not allowed in 2.0 anymore. No clue why it fires off GoGo, though.

edit2: Found clue. Yup, it's his hook to UseContainerItem(). Sorry, nothing I can do;(

Keybinding not sticking

Every time I log in the game I must reset the keybinding. The mod is not remembering what I set it to.

It's not shown in the keybindings menu, or it doesn't work? Not showing up in list is a workaround I had to implement to get GoGo work with new patch.

I noticed you scan the entire binding list on player login. I don't think that's necessary. Even though it obviously doesn't show up in the normal binding list, I'm fairly certain that it remember the binding you make. I'd also suggest executing a mounting command when you do your hijack function so that it feels like a normal keypress. That way, the user doesn't have to know the first key press is a hijack.

Well, it doesn't scan the whole list anymore... was an oversight at my end, I left in a binding parser that I wrote to test the trick. Now it knows exactly what binding to look for (2.0.3).

The whole annoying hijacking business will be removed when patch 2.0.2 hits servers, along with some other not-so-nice workarounds I had to write. The mounting command I'd have to execute would be GoGo_Button:Click(), and guess what, it's protected;(

Hmm, maybe an addon conflict? Because there _should_ be a keybinding.
