Simple Soulstone

My very first addon now released to the public. =)

Features:

Allows for a message to be displayed, whenever you cast a soulstone on somebody.
Displays a list of raid or party members, with soulstones on them and an estimated time till the soulstone wears off. (new: The caster of the soulstone may be shown!)
Monitors, which warlocks in your party have their soulstone cooldown ready. (new)
FuBar Plugin! =)

Simple Soulstone uses the Ace2 libraries.

Currently, there are german and english localization files.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

No bugs have been reported for quite a while, so I now consider SSS to be bugfree, moving it to final. I may add new features in the future.

I tried to guess, who the soulstones belongs to (i.e. who cast it). Please test this, since I am no warlock myself. The source can only be given if you observe the casting!

Added a whole bunch of message options for all your spam needs
I've made the Fubar-Plugin a seperate Addon for those, who do not wish to use Fubar.
Clicking on the Fubar-Icon now posts the Soulstone list in a customizable channel (this function is available through the menu, too. Try /sss list print)
The menu is now better organized.
The soulstones are now colored by class! If somebody wants a switch for this feature, just drop a comment.

Simple Soulstone is now a FuBar-Plugin. If there is no FuBar installed, the functionality is unchanged. I hope. =)

One of the features it had that I like was a Failed message, If say incombate I was in the mist of casting a SS it would say for example: Resaliegh has cast her soulstone on {target} it will be applied in 30 seconds ........ Now if I was hit will casting or died while casting or moved or some other way interupted their would be another alert say something like Casting Soulstone failed on {target}. this way it lets another warlock in the raid know the stone didnt get up and maybe some one else should attempt to apply one. Just a suggestion. Also I would like to see a party or raid announcement listing of the people in the part or raid that has a SS when a new SS is applied. Like for example when I successefully apply my SS a confirmation message such as Resaleigh now has {target}'s Soul. And then annouce who else in the raid / part has a SS by saying. 1 or 2 or 3 or what ever people have a Soulstone {Name} {Name} {Name}. Does that make sense? Baicaly add a failure message, a successe message with a the number of people stoned and thier names.

Sariash A Fallenroot Satyr Forum posts: 23 File comments: 28 Uploads: 0	When using it as a FuBar Plugin the built-in display is redundant... the FuBar tooltip is enough, I can detach it if I want it visible at all times - so an option to disable the display is really missing. Had to hack some SSS.display:Hide() lines into the code to get rid of it right now ;-) Nice work though, I replaced SnaFu with it - which got no updates for a while.

The target with my ss should show a symbol next to the name, like an "" or something. 2. Next to the ssed target show which lock cast it on that target. 3. Color the character name of the target according to what class they are.. EI. priest = white, pally = pink, war = brown, druid = orange. 4. My guild has channels for each class. I would like it if I had the option to send a message to a given channel or raid chat to tell the other locks/raid the ss info. I seem to be the only one who cares to give that kind of info to the other locks or raid members. 5. Send a tell to the ssed target that their stone duration will end soon after a given amount of time. These are just some ideas, #5 is not that important. I would love to see 1-4 though. I'll try to make the display a little more (yes, even more!) customizable, adding class colors and a marker for your own stone, if desired. Unfortunately, I am not able to track who cast the soulstone on a given target, so, without forcing every warlock to install the addon, this option is out. And I'll disentangle the FuBar-part from the main addon. It does too much unwanted stuff =)

I may be totally wrong about this but I can almost recall that it shows who cast soulstone in the combat log. Like "You cast soulstone on me". I know pretty stupid example. I mean it is a castable spell to a target so maybe. Sorry if I am wrong about this.

The hard part would be to find if there are any other locks in the party or raid to even look in the combat log to look for ss casts.

According to http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/4858/sswatch/ it is possible to see SS casts in combat log. I would rather use your addon, maybe that mod can share a few ideas with yours.

N, Ill try to find it in the combat long. If you keep the log open you should see it right in there. Ill keep you posted. Well casting the SS anyway

Try /sss list channel to set the channel you wish to send the list to and /sss list print (or left-click the FuBar Button) to send it. Initially, no channel is set and the list is just printed to your chat window. If this does not work or is missing a feature, please ask =)
