ColdUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.3
by: Coldkil [More]

As everyone has realized now, i have stopped working on the UI basically because i have stopped playing WoW altogether.

I feel sorry to not have written here before, there is a lot of people that has shown a lot of support on my work and i didn't thank you enough for that.

I had a lot of fun playing with the UI and following your feedback to improve my work.

I hope that something in the future (maybe another game) will let me do another work similar to this, as it's been by far my best WoW experience during my play time.

See you on next journey and projects.

All-in-one UI pack, working for every resolution, just try it and keep it if you like it! Mess with the code, but i don't support any edit.

Features:
- healer layout available: just set the option to true and /reload ui
- you can enable/disable pretty much any plugin
- extended focus frame available, with portrait and castbar
- datatext can be enabled/disabled too, and background panel can be toggled on/off
- change textures/fonts as you please
- you can setup your personal layout, and if you mess with thing, reset everything

SLASH COMMANDS:
/ch will make appear the help - everything is there
/align brings out a grid, very useful to move things around

Other options can be found in the relative addon config.lua file (or in game if it's provided).

AURORA:
i use an edited version of this addon to match all the Blizzard frames with the ones i designed. In game you should disable all options but the map reskin and the "replace normal game fonts" one.

ACTIONBARS:
just open config.lua in ColdBars addon, it's everything there. There are the same options as before plus some additional functionalities like vertical bars and the possibility to costantly hide pet/stance bar.
Button skin is embedded into the bars addon.
NOW PLUS MOUSEOVER!

About screenshots: they may show MSBT and an aura tracker addon, they aren't included in the package. Sorry, i still havent updated them, hope to do it asap.

CREDITS:
All credits go to respective addon authors.
Thanks to haste, for creating oUF.
Thanks to Caellian, since i've learned destroying you awesome layout.
Thanks to Tukz, i've taken some features from your incredible work.
Thanks to WoWInterface, MMO-Champion and WoWHead for their communities which have helped me a lot.
Bags are a stripped down and reduced to the bone version of Stuffing.
Cooldowns are a "same of above" version of OmniCC.
Runebar is a "same of above" edit if nibRunes.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Make a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, then move/delete them from WoW directory.
- Unzip the archive.
- Put the folders in the ZIP archive into you Interface/Addons folder.
That's it!

ADDONS LIST:
- alDamageMeter

- oUF_Coldkil
- cError

Yeah, it's definitely something i want to do, but it's below as priority.

Anyway, what would you need as a healer? I know that raid frames are pretty much useless like they are now for that role, but i left for this purpose the empty space on the right, so addons like grid/healbot/recount can have their space.

I suppose the Unit Frames is a little love or hate. I wouldn't really use them but they look quite neat. And the overall layout of the interface is awesome. I especially like the keybind under the buttons, was clever.

Well done.

Only thing I'm missing so far is an auto junk seller and auto repair script.

I think I'm going to move the minimap to another position also. Just a personal preference.

Otherwise, everything works well and looks nice. Couple of places where the pixel font is a tad hard to read but that's probably just me.

If you move the minimap, keep in mind that part/raid frames are achored to it.

Also, i moved the "pvp objective" frame on the left, or it would have been covered. Tbh, i'm not much convinced of the minimap up there too. Let's see for the next release.

Yea, I planned on moving the party and raid frames anyway. My only real issue with the minimap being there is that when I'm looking at things a bit further away, the minimap might sometimes cover it up. I haven't decided whether or not I want it in the traditional spot or bottom right (like in Free UI).
Right now I'm working on getting Light CT the way I want it.

Hi there, I love this interface but I would really like to see a config menu. There are so many things I would like to change but I can't because I don't really know where to start. There is a way to change the color of unit frames? And how to move/resize the minimap? How can i remove the raid frame? (I'm using Ouf_freebgrid that is way better).
Any suggestion i can give to you is to reduce the UI scale but keep the unit frames with this size (units frames are fine but everything else is too big, and if I reduce the scale everything then is too small), fix the battle.net cloud (maybe it's just mine bugged), add a proper actionbar add-on and a configuration menu.
I also love the style of the UI but when you put an add on for buff frame you loose the style (this happened to me with satrina buff frame), it's possibile to integrate it?
Thanks and keep the good work

Keybinds size (and other text size) being pixelfont will look ugly if not the correct size, so you're stuck with that, or you can change the font in the lua files.

If you need different bars, atm you should go for another addon like dominos or bartender. This is because i disabled all the options from rActiobBarStyler; anyway it's a temporary solution, next release it should be available to use the standard slash commands in game.

As for an in-game configuration menu, it's not a priority atm. If all goes well, i could give a shot at it for sure.

Hey Coldkil, awesome work: gz^^

BTW I noticed a small Lua error (related to the chat file) when the RealID frame spawns.

And a question: do you use GitHub for your oUF_Coldkil?

Thanks in advance and good work

No, unfortunately i don't use GitHub but i'll take a look at it.

Meanwhile can you post a copy of the lua error? Never had the issue, but probably it's something wrong in the code (i changed some references last release, so probably i didn't change accordingly the ones of the BNet bubble).
