Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target

  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

It's bad coding practice to crowd up the global tablespace and can affect performance. But if you look further down the code there, it shows how you can access the frame. "Stuf" can be accessed globally and most of its sub frames. For example, Stuf.units.player.hpbar and Stuf.units.target.blahblahblah

IKR, but that's not how kgPanels does it It looks up parent/anchor frames' names in _G. That's why I proposed this kind of fix, but whatevs

Hello, I love stuf, I literally can't play without it anymore. Been playing a monk lately and if the option for show only castable on friendlies is chose, neither renewing mist or essence font hots show up on the frame. They will appear with the "mine only" option.

Can't implement this because I can't test it. If you find a solution and confirm it, I'll update Stuf
Test it as in practical? Like join a raid with a friend or guildie and get them to kill themselves then move out of 30 yard range(which i believe is the range on the raid frames) and see that it still shows them active status alpha instead of the inactive alpha? Or you mean something code wise?

Great addon, I realy like it.

Some requests and suggestions:
-Add option to hide player frame while out of combat.
-Incoming Heals overflow disable. It should be possible to set the incoming heals to stay in the range of the health bar (they shouldn't grow outside the health bar when they heal more then maximum hp).
-"Target Target" and "Target Target Target" should be hidden while not in a group. (or add an option to hide them when not in group)

I hope you will add some of this features and recognize their use.

Thumbs up Castbar text bug

Hey, great work on the addon. Love the customisation, doing some things i can't with any other addon.

Have one bug to report - I seem to get weird text on my player and target cast bars, but reloading UI or changing a setting in Stuf (any setting, even if its to the same value) fixes it. Its pretty annoying, as it seems to bug out every time I load into a new zone or log in.

STUF - Absorbs

Hello,

I love your Unit Frames! They work great and look awesome.

There is one thing that I am looking for in the settings that I can't seem to find. Playing as a Prot Warrior, I would like to be able to see my absorb left from ignore pain. I can't seem to find an option for showing absorbs like there is for show incoming heals.

I did notice it says he incoming heals are in beta right now. Will there be an addition to show absorbs as well? Or possibly am I just being a goof and did not find the option and it is already built in?

Hidden Buffs?

Hey,
Since the pre patch for some reason my buffs in the top right of my screen have not been showing up. Disabling Stuf brings them back so it's an issue with this addon it seems, is there any option I can select to bring them back? MoveAnything shows their anchor point is still in the default top right location, they just seem to be invisible. e.g http://puu.sh/qwto5/16663acc38.jpg

Are there going to be fixes to include/address the secondary power bars (e.g., shadow priest, DK runes, pally power)? If these are already in there, I don't see them...

So, I double-checked, and the "Rune bar" does exist as an option in Stuf (for my DK), but it disappears within a second of enabling it. If I toggle disable/enable, it appears, but then, again disappears within a second of enabling it.

I have a similar "holy bar" for the pally. If I disable the "holy bar", clicking "enable" does NOT show it again, however. I need to leave it enabled and reload the whole UI for it to re-appear. For whatever reason, this trick does not work for the DK.

I can't find anything for setting up the Phased Status on a player.
Am I missing it or is it something that is not handled by this addon?

I can't figure out how to search only within a single forum so if this has been previously answered then sorry in advance.

Would you consider to include an option to move that personal resource bar sitting in the middle of the screen? It seems to belong to the standard ui and I can't find any addon moving it.

It's just a duplicate of the other resource bars. There is an option to disable it within the standard interface options, so that may be why you're not seeing any other mod created to move it.

Look carefully in the interface options. I don't remember where it is, exactly, only that it's not where I ever expect it to be.
