OPie World Markers

Version: 0.1b
by: peloazul [More]

This addon creates an OPie ring that allows you to use the World Markers feature of the 4.x Blizzard Raid Frames without using the Raid Frames interface itself.

In addition, if you wish to use this addon to disable the Blizzard Raid Frames instead of installing another one, you can uncomment lines 2-5 of the Worldmarkers.lua file.

0.1b - Removed hidden OS X files and added ability to disable raid frames.
0.1 - Initial version

just out of curiosity, is there a way to add the orange (circle) world marker to the Raid World Markers ring? The orange only seems to be available as a Raid Marker, not World Marker when I try to add it to the ring.

and is there a way to add a "None" option to the Raid Markers ring? for example, if i had set a raid icon on a target and wanted to undo it, i'd have to go into the target UF's right click menu and hit "None"... not particularly hard to do, but using opie keybinds are so much easier ^.^

thanks!

@HOPE: You could try deleting the ring in game, using OPie's interface (Interface -> Addons -> OPie -> Custom Rings -> "select the world markers ring or rings" -> Delete ring), or you could try deleting the offending ring out of OPie's saved variables file (WoW Folder -> WTF -> Account -> "Your Account Name" -> SavedVariables -> OPie.lua).

Either one of those should do the trick. Hope that helps!

Hmm no I don't recall modifying opie at all, just using the basic raid targetting and quest item "ring". Other than that I din't do anything with it. So how should I delete that ring? In-game or some lua editing you mean?

@HOPE: I was able to recreate this error by creating a ring called "World Markers" (which, when saved to OPie's saved variables, is shortened to "WorldMarkers" because variable names can't have spaces in them) and then enabling the addon OPie_WorldMarkers. When my addon tries to create it's ring, it conflicts with the one previously saved and OPie generates the error that you described.

Did you already create a custom ring named "World Markers" or "WorldMarkers" before installing this? If you did, and you delete it, then the error should go away.

Let me know if that fixes things for you.

Hi,

Awesome, though I got a bug now that I did some login logout with alts I got an error while I logged in with an alt:

1x OPie_WorldMarkers\Rings\WorldMarkers.lua:4: Ring "WorldMarkers" is already described.
OPie\OneRingLib.lua:20: in function <OPie\OneRingLib.lua:19>
OPie\Meta\RingKeeper.lua:219: in function `AddRing'
OPie_WorldMarkers\Rings\WorldMarkers.lua:4: in main chunk

Locals:
condition = false
text = "Ring %q is already described."
level = 2
